Since the General Administration of Press and Publication established the concept of themed publishing in 2003,the form and content of themed publishing in China have gradually become richer,and the number of fine works has also increased.Theme publishing,as an important means of dissemination of major national policy guidelines and the promotion of social positive energy,has attracted more and more attention from the state in recent years.As its influence continues to expand,topic publishing has also attracted more researchers' attention and has become a new hotpot in academic and industry research.However,the number of research results from the reader's perspective is very limited,especially for the main force of reading-the group of college students,and there are few researches on the subject publication reading.In this context,the author took Lanzhou University as an example to conduct a detailed questionnaire survey on 552 college students,supplemented by interviews,to understand the understanding of college students on the subject publications,the number of readings,reading methods,contact channels,reading demand and other aspects.Through research and analysis,it is found that the current reading of the subject publications of college students in Lanzhou University presents the characteristics of insufficient initiative,partial digital reading,and unclear knowledge of the subject publications.This leads to the development of the theme publishing,there are many problems such as the quantity and quality are not proportional,the theme and content are not grounded,digital publishing is not yet mature,and the promotion and promotion are not in place.Furthermore,selecting excellent themed publications such as "How Steel Is Made" as a case for analysis,and uses some topics to publish electronic readings and new multimedia printed readings as references.Combining the demand and preference of college students' subject publication readings,to promote the development of college students' subject publication readings,it puts forward suggestions on converging digital publishing,digging deeper in readers' preferences,balancing the development of factors and increasing publicity and promotion,to further explore how to provide more high-quality themed publications stimulate college students' interest in reading themed publications,thereby promoting the development of the themed publishing market in a healthy and benign direction.
