With the development of the mass media and the Internet,adolescents generally have idol worship in the stage of rapid psychological development.Idol worship is an important performance for teenagers to explore self-identity,avoid role confusion in adolescence,maintain psychological balance and integrate into society.At the same time,the psychological development of junior high school students faces the crisis of identity crisis.However,adolescents has evolved into the degree of infatuation or even loss themselves in reality,which has caused some adverse effects.Parents are the children's first teachers.Their parenting style will directly affect the daily behavior of young people.Good parenting styles will help young people to establish a proper idol worship and prevent them from worshiping blindly.There are few studies on the relationship among parenting style,self-identity and idol worship in junior high school students.Therefore,this study investigates the characteristics and current situation of idol worship of junior high school students,and explores the relationship among parenting style,self-identity and idol worship.The researcher selected 843 junior middle school students from 6 middle schools in Yunnan Province and Guangdong Province as the research objects,and used widely recognized parenting style scale(EMBU)(Jiang Jiang,2010),self-identity scale(Zhang Risheng,2000)and idol worship scale(CAS-R)(Peng Wenbo,2010).After data analysis,the following conclusions were obtained:(1)Characteristics of junior high school students' parenting style,self-identity and idol worship(1)The research on the characteristics of junior high school students 'parenting style: There are gender differences in junior high school students' parenting style.Parental rejection and over protection differ significantly,with boys scoring higher than girls.There was a significant difference in parental rejection and emotional warmth in grade.In terms of nationality,there is a significant difference between the father's over protection and the mother's emotional warmth of junior high school students,and the Han nationality is significantly lower than the minority nationality.In urban and rural areas,there are significant differences between parents' emotional warmth and mothers' over protection.Urban areas scored higher than rural areas.In different regions,parents' emotional warmth and over protection have significantdifferences,and the scores in underdeveloped areas are higher than those in developed areas.In the family economic situation,there are significant differences in the dimensions of parents' emotional warmth,mothers' refusal and over protection.(2)The research on the characteristics of junior high school students' self-identity:the distribution of junior high school students in six self-identity positions is quite different.The number of persons in the status of identity diffusion is the largest,followed by the status of achievement-authority admission.In terms of gender,there are significant differences between boys and girls in "past crisis".In grade,there are significant differences in self-identity.Among them,in "present commitment ",grade one is higher than grade two and grade three;in "past crisis",grade three is higher than grade one;in "future readiness of commitment ",grade one is higher than grade two and grade three.There is no significant difference in the self-identity of junior high school students in different areas.In terms of family economic status,there are significant differences between junior high school students' "present commitment " and "future readiness of commitment ".(3)The research on the characteristics of idolatry of junior high school students:most junior high school students have their own idols.Most junior high school students worship movie stars,and virtual characters occupy the second place.Most of the middle school students are attracted by the personality charm of idols,and the excellent quality ranks second.Most parents are not concerned enough about the idol worship of their children.In terms of the type of idol worship in junior high school students,the phenomenon of idol worship in junior high school students is mainly entertainment and social,which is at an irrational level.Different genders have significant differences in the entertainment,social and emotional projection of idol worship.Girls are higher than boys in the entertainment social and emotional projection.Idol worship of junior high school students of different grades has significant differences in full identification and pathological margins.There are no significant differences in the dimensions of idol worship among junior high school students in different ethnic groups and regions.In terms of full identification,rural is higher than urban;the score of the lowest monthly household income is significantly higher than the highest monthly household income group.(2)Research on the relationship among family education,self-identity and idolatry of junior high school students(1)Correlation research found that parenting styles were significantly related toself-identity.There is a significant correlation between father's parenting style and idol worship.There was a significant positive correlation between mother's rejection,mother over protection and idol worship.There was no significant correlation between self-identity and the total score of idol worship.There is a significant correlation between the dimensions of self-identity and idol worship.(2)Regression research found that parenting style have a certain predictive effect on junior high school students' self-identity.Parenting style has a certain predictive effect on idol worship for junior high school students.Future readiness of commitment has a certain predictive effect on entertainment social and pathological marginal dimensions.(3)The intermediary test found that the junior high school students' self-identity failed to meet the conditions of the intermediary effect test in terms of parenting style and the total score of idol worship.However,future readiness of commitment in self-identity has some mediating effects in the entertainment social and pathological margins of idol worship and parenting style.Future readiness of commitment will partly mediate between mother's emotional warmth and entertainment social.Future readiness of commitment will partly mediate between mother's emotional warmth,father's emotional warmth and pathological margins.Based on the above research,the researcher put forward corresponding educational countermeasures and suggestions.
