American has made a survey on the concentration problem of primary school students.The survey shows that students from forty percent to sixty percent show signs of lack of concentration.Attention,one of the five basic factors of the intellectual development,plays the role of "organizer" and "maintainer" in the process of the intellectual development,which is the key for schoolchildren to learn courses and acquire knowledge.Many factors,such as the continuous development of the electronic information equipment,the chaotic learning environment,and parents' improper education methods,will cause primary school students' lack of concentration,which restrict the improvement of primary school students' own ability,and threaten their future development.Therefore,the improvement of primary school students' concentration is a compulsory course for every child.Currently,the improvement of primary school students' concentration in China is mainly concentrated on the fields of pedagogy and psychology,where various educational methods and sandbox games are applied to improve primary school students' concentration.However,there is scarce research on the theory and practice of the social work intervention in the improvement of primary school students' concentration.Therefore,improving children's behavioral cognition and promoting their healthy and happy growth are also one of the focuses of professional services for social work.In view of this,the author explores the application of the professional methods and skills of the social work growth group to promote the improvement of primary school students' concentration,and provides a useful template for social work majors in practicing the intervention of improving primary school students' concentration.In this study,the author takes the FW community in Baoding City,Hebei Province as an example.First,the Chinese children's concentration level scale was applied to measure the concentration level of the fourth and fifth grade students in the community.Subsequently,an estimate was made on the concentration level of primary school students in the FW community,and six primary school students with low concentration level and voluntary participation were recruited after assessing their needs based on the results of interviews.According to the usage channels,the concentration was divided into the visual concentration,the auditory concentration,and the tactile assistance.Therefore,starting from the auditory concentration,the visual concentration,the physical coordination and the concentration training,The author designed and carried out 7 group activities to enable the service object to master the relevant concentration training methods,and urge the service object to carry out relevant training in the form of assigning homework.After the group work,the author began to evaluate the intervention effect of the group work from five aspects as follows: the later measurement evaluation of the Chinese Children's Attention Level Scale,the self-assessment of members,the evaluation of the group members' parents on group members,the social worker's evaluation on the group members,and the social worker's self-assessment.The results showed that the concentration level of the service object was improved.On this basis,he author concluded the study and refleted it,applying the method of the group work in social work to solve the problem of primary school students' lack of concentration has tangible effectiveness.But there were also limitations.At last,The author put forward improvement methods and suggestions.
