At present,China's higher education has gradually evolved into mass education,but with the rapid increase in the number of students in the short term,there has been a problem with the quality of higher education.After the expansion of postgraduate enrollment in China,the same qualitative and qualitative problems as undergraduate education appeared in the graduate education stage.With the advancement of the times,society's demand for talents is increasing,especially for high-quality and complex talents.The postgraduate education is at the higher level of our country's education,and it is the main way to cultivate high-quality composite talents.Scientific research is the essential feature of postgraduate education,and research ability has become the primary training goal of graduate education accordingly.Key indicators to measure the quality of graduate education.For graduate students,the most noteworthy issue is the decline in the research ability of graduate students,so it is urgent to improve the research ability of graduate students.In this context,based on previous research on scientific research capabilities by scholars at home and abroad,it is found that there is less research on the level of academic passion for graduate students,ignoring its significant impact on scientific research capabilities.Existing literature when building a basic model of scientific research capabilities More often,starting from motivation theory,only a few researchers have studied the impact of postgraduate academic passion on scientific research ability from passion dualism.Therefore,this study explores the impact of academic passion on scientific research capabilities,as well as the mediating role of learning engagement and the moderating role of mentor tolerance leadership.Through a questionnaire survey,366 postgraduate students from different universities were investigated,and the relationship between the variables was tested by SPSS21.0 and AMOS17.0 software.The results show that the academic passion of postgraduates has a significant positive impact on their scientific research capabilities,and learning engagement plays a part of the mediating role between academic passions and postgraduate scientific research capabilities;the inclusive leadership of the mentor positively regulates the relationship between academic engagement and postgraduate scientific research capabilities The relationship between them,the research capacity of graduate students will be maximized by the combination of their academic passion and learning engagement and the inclusive leadership of their tutors.The final results of this study validate the positive role of academic passion in postgraduate scientific research capabilities,the mediating role of learning engagement,and the moderating role of mentor-inclusive leadership.This research has enriched the research of academic passion,and at the same time it has played a supplementary role in influencing the mechanism of postgraduate scientific research ability,and has a certain enlightening effect on improving the quality of postgraduates in China.
