With the establishment of a new generation of artificial intelligence development planning strategic objectives in 2017,artificial intelligence,the Internet of things and other ideas and methods have been widely used in education and teaching.The importance of information-based teaching and the demand of modern geography education make the relationship between science and technology and education become more and more close.Teaching equipment based on new technology is emerging one after another.The newly revised senior high school geography curriculum standards point out that geography teaching needs to change the focus of the reform on how to use information technology to change students' learning style on the basis of the conventional use of information technology as a means of demonstration.Arduino,as an open-source electronic platform,is widely used in the field of artificial intelligence of the Internet of things,and in the process of combining with geographical practice activities,Arduino provides students with open space for autonomous learning,inquiry learning and cooperative learning.Cultivate students' ability to innovate and practice,and improve the level of comprehensive problem solving.According to the requirements of the new curriculum standards,the present situation of development at home and abroad and the relevant educational theories,this paper probes into the application of Arduino platform in geography practice.By analyzing the needs of modern geography teaching and the deficiency of traditional geography practice,this paper provides a scientific basis for the application of Arduino platform in geography practice activities.Based on the function of Arduino in geographical practice and the characteristics of practical activities,the application strategy,principle and teaching model of Arduino in geographical practice are put forward.Finally,five kinds of Internet of things environmental information acquisition equipment are designed and made.The theme is "Fuzhou Heat Island effect",and the temperature sensor is selected to be applied in the practical geographical practice.Combining the main line of theory teaching with geography practice,guiding teachers to construct a more active and effective teaching mode of geography practice,cultivating the students' geographical practice ability,carrying out the idea of establishing morality and cultivating human beings.
