With the development of the times,especially the rapid development of information technology,all walks of life are reviving new vitality.information technology also affects all aspects of education.Improving teachers' ICT application ability not only plays an important role in promoting the integration of information technology and chemistry,but also is an important step in promoting education reform.In particular,in the chemistry discipline,informatization teaching can give full play to the advantages of modern information technology,have a positive impact on the organization and presentation of teaching content,and promote the improvement of teaching quality.However,through literature review,it is found that China is still in the initial stage of application in the process of ICT and education integration,and the research on ICT application ability improvement of middle school chemistry teachers is also relatively simple.Studies have shown that the regional differences in the integration of information technology and chemistry are obvious.The level of ICT application ability of middle school chemistry teachers is uneven,and the advantages of informatization teaching cannot be fully and effectively utilized.In order to investigate the status quo of ICT application ability of chemistry teachers in Fuzhou middle school and explore its improvement methods,this study firstly obtained the status quo of ICT application ability of chemistry teachers in Fuzhou middle school through a questionnaire survey of chemistry teachers in Fuzhou summer high school backbone teachers training class.Then select some teachers to conduct interviews,in order to analyze in detail the factors affecting the ability of middle school chemistry teachers to apply ICT.Finally,combined with case studies,we draw on the ways to improve the ICT application ability of excellent middle school chemistry teachers.The results show that:(1)the overall level of ICT application ability of chemistry teachers in Fuzhou middle school is medium,and the development level of each dimension is different.Among them,the information literacy dimension has a higher overall development level,the exchange learning dimension develops best,theorganizational management dimension and the assessment diagnostic dimension are both at a medium level,and the overall development level of the design and preparation dimension is the lowest.(2)The important factors affecting the ICT application ability of middle school chemistry teachers are: lack of information technology equipment failure prevention and self-solving awareness,relying too much on relevant technical personnel,school information equipment incomplete,inco mplete understanding of device functions and age.(3)The way for middle school chemistry teachers to improve their ICT application ability is to enhance their ICT application ability by participating in teacher competitions and open classes,strengthening self-learning awareness,overcoming fears,establishing correct concepts and establishing lifelong learning.
