Due to changes in the background of the times and social requirements,talents have become the most scarce and precious resource in the new era.As a reserve army for the construction of the motherland,college students need not only excellent professional knowledge but also good psychological quality.Relevant research shows that the psychological status of college students is affected by different factors and shows different forms.Among them,college students' examination anxiety,trait anxiety and depression caused by them are more prominent.At present,most researches focus on one of the above-mentioned three psychological problems,but there are few related researches that pay attention to the relationship between the three,especially the influence of each other.Therefore,it is imperative to study the mental health of college students.For this reason,this paper chooses the undergraduates of Northwest Minzu University as the research object,and uses the Beck Depression Inventory(BDI),Spielberger Test Anxiety Inventory(TEST AnxietyInventory,TAI and Spielberger Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI)are the research tools,which are used to measure the examination anxiety,trait anxiety and depression of college students through a convenient sampling method.On this basis,a number of students are selected for interviews,so as to master the current situation of examination anxiety and depression of college students,understand their real needs,and provide basis for improving the content and system of future mental health education.This research consists of six parts: The first part is the introduction,including the research background,research status,research purpose and significance,the proposal of problems and research methods;The second part is the research design,which introduces the research idea,investigation object,measurement scale adopted,measurement implementation and statistical method.The third part is the result analysis of the empirical research,through the questionnaire survey to understand the current situation and prevalence of test anxiety and depression of college students in Northwest Minzu University,trait anxiety and depression is understood,and the mediating effect of test anxiety between trait anxiety and depression is tested.The fourth part analyzes the problems and causes caused by college students' exam anxiety,and analyzes the current situation of students' needs and mental health education based on interviews,focusing on the existing problems.In the fifth part,theauthor puts forward some measures to suppress college students' exam anxiety.The sixth part is the prospect of the research,which summarizes the main conclusions,existing deficiencies and the direction of future improvement.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.There is no significant gender difference in TAI total score,anxiety and emotional subscale scores of the tested college students.The test anxiety of the tested college students conforms to the normal distribution.2.According to BDI score,severe depression accounted for 0.3% of the total;The detection rate of moderate depression was 3.8%.The detection rate of mild depression was 13.2%.Overall,the distribution of depression among college students is relatively normal.3.The BDI score of the tested college students is significantly positively correlated with the TAI total score.BDI score is significantly positively correlated with worry subscale score.BDI score is significantly positively correlated with emotional subscale score.TAI and STAI have significant positive correlation.4.The test anxiety of the tested college students plays a partial mediating role between depression and trait anxiety,with the mediating effect accounting for 26.40%of the total effect.At the same time,the total score of anxiety and total score of emotion in test anxiety have influence on the process of trait anxiety and individual depression.Finally,this paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and Suggestions from four aspects: education authorities,mental health education centers and teachers,the differences between students and the cognition of test anxiety.Based on the survey and interview,through the combination of quantitative and qualitative research paradigm,from college students' test anxiety and with the relationship between trait anxiety and depression,put forward countermeasures for college students' test anxiety inhibition,and for the adjustment of the college students' mental health and improve the new Angle of view,as well as improve the psychological health education in colleges and universities provide a certain reference.
