Practical texts,which are closely related to our daily life and an important part of Chinese reading teaching in senior high schools,were put forward as early as 2003.However,in practical teaching,this kind of texts has not received due attention,and their attention is far less than that of literary texts and expository texts.When the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standard)was formally applied to Chinese teaching in senior high schools in the autumn of 2018,practical texts are faced with opportunities and challenges to change traditional teaching methods.In order to meet the needs of a teacher who is about to enter the teaching post and the research value of the topic itself,this paper takes the new curriculum standard as the guiding principle,focuses on the relevant research of practical texts,investigates and interviews the teachers and students of the first,second and third grade high schools in Fuzhou,Fujian Province,and analyses the current situation of textbooks and college entrance examinations.Finally,some suggestions are put forward.Firstly,the author expounds the practical texts in the new era,considers the practical texts in the wave of language core literacy and the development of the new curriculum standard,then explains the classification and characteristics of the practical texts in the senior high school Chinese textbooks published by PEP,and finally deals with the specific requirements of the 2017 version of the new curriculum standard for senior high school practical texts teaching.Combining with my own practice experience,the author conducts an investigation and interview on the current high school students and front-line teachers,and draws a statistical map of the results in order to obtain the factual basis of practical text reading teaching.This paper focuses on the teaching of practical text reading in Senior High School under the guidance of the new curriculum standard,and puts forward concrete thoughts and suggestions on four aspects: cultivating students' reading interest,optimizing teachers' teaching,designing textbooks and proposing for college entrance examination.
