With the rapid development of society and the intensification of digitization,People's Daily life is permeated with mathematical phenomena and problems.Mathematics has gradually become an indispensable part in the process of social development,and mathematics reading has also become one of the important ways for us to acquire mathematical knowledge.Therefore,cultivating students' mathematics reading ability has gradually become a topic of concern in mathematics education circles.First of all,this paper tries to define the concepts of reading,mathematical reading and mathematical reading ability by collecting a large number of relevant domestic and foreign literature materials,sorting and classifying them,and summarizing the three meanings of cultivating primary school students' mathematical reading ability.Then,this paper takes 202 students in grade 4 and grade 5 of C primary school in fuzhou city as the research object,takes the questionnaire and test paper as the media,and through the method of investigation and test,understands the current situation of primary school students' mathematical reading and their level of mathematical reading ability on the whole.Through the analysis of the results,it is found that,on the whole,the situation of primary school students' mathematical reading is not ideal,and their mathematical reading ability is low.The main performance is: 1.Primary school students mathematics reading consciousness is not strong,lacks the good reading habit.2.Poor ability to screen text information.3.Poor understanding of mathematical language.4.Weak ability of mutual transformation of mathematical language.5.General ability of mathematical analysis.Finally,according to the investigation and test results and analysis,and combined with the experience in practical teaching,this paper puts forward five cultivation strategies: 1.2.Improve students' ability of text screening,including: taking and leaving,first dividing and then closing.3.To improve students' mathematical language understanding ability,the specific way to improve their understanding of the three languages is discussed one by one.4.Improve students' ability of mathematical language transformation.5.Strengthen students' ability of analysis and application.
