With the arrival of the era of social mathematics, daily life and work put forward higher requirements for our mathematical reading, a person who don’t have it will be difficult in the future society. Since then, in the absence of mathematics reading has long has aroused widespread concern in the field of mathematics education. Our new basic education curriculum standards emphasized the cultivation of students’ mathematical reading and mathematics communication ability. some other countries such as the United States, France, Japan and also to strengthen the students’ reading interest.Mathematics reading as a special form of reading, it has the very big difference with the Chinese and English reading. there are many difficulties in the implementation of. Then, how the mathematics reading situation of senior high school students?How the level of reading and how to improve their reading ability in mathematics? The purpose of this paper is to research on these questions.First of all, through mathematical reading the relevant literature, in-depth understanding of the concept and the formation of a preliminary understanding of the situation of current research. At the same time, educational psychology review, looking for a solid theoretical basis for this study.Secondly, using the questionnaire, individual interviews, observation and other methods of detailed investigation and analysis of the mathematics reading situation of senior high school students, we get the following conclusions:(1) the survey results showed:the present situation of mathematics reading in senior high school students is not optimistic, if there is no good reading habits, lack of reading skills, self-control ability is poor and so on. In addition to the different gender, grade, level of achievement of high school students in mathematics reading situation carries on the statistical analysis found that:the girls only have advantages in mathematics reading attitude, high school students mathematics reading ability level is obviously more excellent performance and ability of mathematics reading, there is a correlation between. (2) individual interviews found that:the traditional teaching and learning method of mathematics so that students have a serious bias in mathematics and mathematics reading, the impact of the interest in reading. Students have no good reading habits and reading method is mainly because of the lack of subjective initiative and over reliance on teachers, but teachers can not pay enough attention to the cultivation of students’ mathematical reading ability. (3) found that the observation of the mathematics classroom and students’ homework:teachers and students do not form a correct understanding of mathematical reading, reading class has only a mere formality. In addition, many examples of student work and similar problems still error, problem-solving format is not standardized, and the teacher is correcting homework, did not specify the reason of errors students did not propose amendments.Finally, on the basis of the investigation, the knowledge related with education, psychology and so on are put forward to improve the reading ability in mathematics of senior high school students, first of all should stimulate students interest in reading, to increase the students reading behavior; then train their reading ability, change the reading behavior of students; finally, to guide the reading methods, to improve the students reading behavior. Because students still has a strong dependence on the teacher, so the emphasis on how to students in the classroom language conversion, inference in reading and metacognition ability training. In addition, according to the new teaching, practice and the recitation of the three different class type, put forward the guiding students with different reading way.In this paper, for the teachers to master has very important significance to the present high school students present situation and the origin of mathematics reading, at the same time also has certain guiding significance for how to cultivate high school students mathematics reading ability.
