The National Medium-and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)states that education needs to focus on improving the social responsibility of students serving the country and the people,Innovative spirit of exploration and practical ability to solve problems.This clarifies the importance and necessity of cultivating and improving students' practical application ability in mathematics at the level of the program document.It also makes the cultivation and improvement of students' practical application ability in mathematics become a problem that must be faced and valued in mathematics education teaching..Educational practice shows that the cultivation and improvement of the ability of practice and application in mathematics and the whole process of mathematics learning are accompanied by each other.Junior high school mathematics,as a key stage in the cultivation and improvement of mathematics ability,should play an important role in the cultivation and improvement of practical application ability of maths in junior high schools.Due to the fact that the level of ability usually needs to be examined and the lack of relative research on the practical application ability in mathematics at present,it is significant to analyze and sort out the basic issues about practical application ability in mathematics systematically and explore the scientific development in test questions which refers to examining the practical application ability in mathematics.And then it is likely to judge students' level of ability of practical application ability in mathematics more accurately and foster students' practical application ability in mathematics more effectively.This dissertation is done in an attempt to provide definition of practical application ability in math in junior high school based on the previous relative research onto the practical application ability in mathematics in junior high school.A questionnaire is designed from the perspective of examining practical application ability in mathematics in junior high school and carried out among math teachers in junior high school.The results of the questionnaire is sorted by the website “ www.wjx.cn”.According to the results,there are some shortcomings in examining the practical application ability in mathematics in junior high school.This dissertation tries to provide the links in the aspect of practical application ability in mathematics in junior high school and clarify the corresponding levels.The relevant test questions are analyzed and the principles and methods for the examination of the practical application ability in mathematics in junior high school are put forward with some examples explained.
