Head teachers are the main undertakers and implementers of school moral education,whose work directly related to the effect of school moral education.However,due to the influence of many factors,there are still many problems in the moral education of primary school head teachers.Therefore,it is urgent to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of moral education.Under the advocacy of the relevant education policies of the Ministry of Education,this research based on the current research results of moral education at home and abroad,and on the microcosm and basis of the investigation of moral education status of five primary schools in Changsha.Firstly,this paper expounds the relevant concepts and theoretical basis of the effectiveness of moral education of primary school head teachers.On this basis,the author discusses the main contents of moral education of primary school head teachers.Secondly,the author explores the important position of primary school head teachers in moral education: they are the first responsible person for moral education in primary schools,the link and bridge between family and school moral education,and the first moral education model of students' school life.Subsequently,through the questionnaire investigation and analysis of the current situation of moral education in five primary schools,this paper summarizes the problems of moral education of primary school head teachers,including weak moral education concept,incomplete moral education content,and single moral education mode.Based on the analysis of the problems that exist in the moral education of primary school head teachers,this paper further explores the causes of these problems,including the factor of society,families,schools and themselves.They are the negative role of mass media,family education is contrary to school education,the school does not attach importance to the moral education of the head teacher,and the quality of the head teacher needs to be improved.In view of in-depth analysis of the causes of the problems,this paper argues that primary school head teachers can improve the effectiveness of moral education from three levels,which is the focus of this paper.From their own level,the head teacher should renew the concept of moral education,improve professional accomplishment,use multimedia technology properly and adopt various ways of moral education.Fromthe level of class management,the head teacher should cultivate strong class cadres,create a good class atmosphere,and establish a good teacher-student relationship.From the perspective of home-school communication,head teachers should set up parents' committees,hold parents' meetings and take home visits.Moral education is the foundation and soul of quality education in primary schools.The primary head teachers must consciously infiltrate moral education into the work,create a good moral atmosphere for schools and promote the all-round development of students.
