Promoting the level of student engagement of junior high school students in urban-rural integration area is of great significance to solve the problem of low admission rate of junior high school in urbanization process.To understand the state and influence factors of student engagement of junior high school students in urban-rural integration area,the revised student engagement scale is used in this study and 622 junior high school students are randomly selected from grade 1 to grade 3 of Y junior high school in Yuhua District,Changsha City,Hunan Province.In addition,this study conduct in-depth interviews with 6 junior high school students.The results show that the overall level of junior high school students student engagement in urban-rural integration area is at upper middle level,and the overall level of female students student engagement is significantly higher than that of male students;the level of the second grade students learning engagement is the lowest in junior high school,but there is no significant difference in the level of different grades' students student engagement.Further research found that: timely encouragement contributes to the increase of junior high school student learning engagement;good sense of achievement and satisfaction can drive junior high school students to better engage in learning;harmonious family environment can make children more willing to participate in learning sharing and discussion;parents ' attention can effectively reduce junior high school students' inertia and increase the willingness of learning engagement.In view of the state and influence factors of junior high school student learning engagement,this paper gives relevant suggestions from students,schools and teachers,class environment,family environment,education administration and so on.teachers change teaching mode,stimulate students' interest in learning,and strengthen junior high school students 'learning methods education.The school creates a good learning atmosphere and assists students in establishing goal planning;Parents raise their expectations of their children's education and enhance their positive upbringing behavior;Education administration departments strength en the input of teachers in primary and secondary schools in the urban-rural areas;We will strengthen supervision over the quality of teaching in primary and secondary schools in the peri-urban areas.
