| Children's time allocation is an important factor affecting their human capital accumulation.The research on the intergenerational transmission of time use behavior not only provides a new perspective for improving the quality of children's human capital,but also provides a new way to improve the intergenerational economic mobility at the root.This paper makes use of the data from the 2017 wave of the China Time Use Survey of Inner Mongolia University,on the basis of combing intergenerational transmission related literature,through descriptive statistical analysis and Tobit model regression methods were studied using time behavior of intergenerational transmission of scale,and the of heterogeneity analysis of different characteristics' groups,and the inner mechanism of intergenerational transmission of time use behavior are discussed in this paper.The following conclusions were reached,first,parents' time use behavior has a significant positive intergenerational transmission effect on children,and parents' time use behavior has a significant gender difference in intergenerational transmission.Second,parents with different educational backgrounds vary greatly in their time use behavior.Although families with higher education spend more time on mobile phones,children from families with lower education are more likely to inherit their parents' mobile phone behavior.Third,intergenerational of time use behavior can be transmitted by influencing children's preferences and the "role model effect" of parents.Adopt conclusions and make the following policy recommendations,first,parent should provide high quality company for children.Parents should accompany their children to do some activities that are conducive to the accumulation of human capital when their children were in the stage of accumulating human capital.Second,parents should build the role model.We should pay more attention to the role of family education in children's growth,and support the accumulation and quality improvement of children's human capital through the improvement of family education. |
