Tsinghua University was established and flourished during the Republic of China.It was renamed Tsinghua University in 1928.In just a few years,it has cultivated many outstanding talents for China.Although these talents,The famous writer Qian Zhongshu,the Ming history research pioneer Wu Zheng,the meteorologist Ye Duzheng,the nuclear physicist Deng Jiaxian,are distributed in all walks of life,they all have the courage to explore.The classroom is an important place to develop students' inquiry spirit and cultivate inquiry ability.Looking through the historical teaching materials of Tsinghua University during the Republic of China,we can see the students 'thirst for knowledge and the students' enthusiasm for positive thinking.This scene is different from the current university classroom.The current university classroom lacks a vitality and lacks a tinder that stimulates students' thinking.At present,China's development is in great need of talents.Only by improving teaching can we cultivate a steady stream of talents for China.This article uses Tsinghua University's teaching as the research object to explore the relationship between teaching and students' intellectual life.Taking classroom teaching as a carrier,vividly show the intellectual life of Tsinghua University students during the Republic of China.Through the analysis of teaching objectives,teaching methods,teaching content,teacher-student relationship,etc.,it can dig out the elements that are conducive to the development of students' inquiry spirit and inquiry ability.The student follows the teacher's thinking in the classroom,and the continuous academic thinking enables him to inherit the teacher's academic thinking direction and academic research methods.These are the basis for independent research and also help him open up new research fields.The help of teaching in students' inquiry activities is not only reflected in the cultivation of inquiry ability,but also the cultivation of inquiry spirit.The student's independent thinking consciousness enables him not to follow the authority blindly,to be able to think critically about the problem,and to come up with a new perspective that is different from the traditional concept.In the process of academic thinking with teachers,students not only feel the difficulty of the inquiry process,but also enjoy the joy of successful inquiry.These emotional experiences will also help students' future inquiry work.If teaching is the stage of cultivating students 'inquiry spirit and inquiry ability,then students' life outside the classroom is a stage where their ability can be demonstrated.During the period of the Republic of China,Tsinghua University students continued their intellectual thinking after class and actively conducted academic discussions with teachers and classmates.The inquiry practices out of class also promoted the improvement of inquiry ability.
