In traditional children's socialization researches, the adult perspective occupied a dominant position. These researches mostly focused on the external factors which affect children's socialization, but ignored children's own experience in social activities at that moment,so that the view of children in traditional researches presented a passive image since children internalized adult information. With the development of the sociology of childhood, the view of children has gradually changed.More and more children studies believed that children are active social actors and also experts on their own lives.Under this background, this research attempted to enter the world of children's friendship, exploring how children would respond to the information from the adult world, and what concerns they may have during the interactions, also how they would feel and experience. To explore these issues, based on the perspective of the sociology of childhood, this study used ethnographic research methods and invited 28 young children from a kindergarten in Shanghai to participate in the research.Through positive role-building,the researcher entered into the real field of children's daily life, and deeply described the typical cases of the interpretive reproduction of children in friendships. This study also used painting and storytelling methods to obtain the views and perspectives of children on friendship and the interpretive reproduction cases. This study found that,in the dimension of action, preschool children used the knowledge from the adult world creatively. They made secondary adjustments to adult rules, also misappropriate adult rules directly. For the material and symbolic culture created and selected by the adults, preschool children endowed it with new usage and meaning according to the context of the interaction. In the psychological dimension, preschool children experienced positive and negative psychological experiences and constructed shared values and attitudes during the interpretive reproductive. These psychological experiences not only had important significance for children themselves but also had stimulating and repressive effects on the behaviors of the interpretive reproduction, while the values and attitudes shared by children affected the alienation and intimacy of friendship.Based on the findings, the research discussed the basic mechanism, characteristics, and significances of the interpretive reproduction.Reflected on the educational implications of the interpretive reproduction, the study believed that adults should recognize the behaviors of the interpretive reproduction by children. In the adult-to-child interactions, the adults should respect children and listen to their thoughts, but this does not mean giving up the educational position.Adults should always undertake the educational responsibility of loving and guiding children.
