Research On The Socialist National Identity And Its Cultivation Of College Students In The New Era

General Secretary Xi Jinping has stressed many times that if the young generation has ideals,skills and responsibilities,the country will have a future and the nation will have hope.Whether young college students have firmed socialist ideals and beliefs,and whether they can identify with China's socialist country or not,are related to the country's political development,the country's future and destiny.In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,it has become one of the arduous tasks of ideological and political education for colleges and universities to train and bring up a group of young college students who can highly identify with our socialist countries,have the theoretical support of national cognition,and consciously contribute to the country.At present,to grasp the status quo of university students' socialist national identity and to understand the status quo of the cultivation of university students' socialist national identity are two preliminary tasks for the ideological and political educators in universities to strengthen the socialist national identity of university students.Identity refers to cognitive consistency,behavioral convergence.National identity refers to that citizens of a country can not only reach consensus on cognition,but also consciously conform to the requirements of the country in behavior.The generation of college students' national identity should go through three stages: correct national cognition;strong national sentiment;self-conscious nation behavior.Based on the three stages of the generation of college students' national identity,the author compiled a questionnaire on the status quo of socialist national identity of college students in the new era,and conducted a random network survey on the status of socialist national identity of college students in four universities in the north of Jiangsu Province.The survey results show that college students in the new era are generally in a good status to identify with socialist countries,but there are still some problems,mainly due to the cognitive bias of individual college students towards socialist countries.A few college students in the socialist country tend to be indifferent.The socialist country behavior of a few college students is relatively negative.The reasons of these problems include the influence brought by various international smearing of the socialist ideological trend in China and the negative influence brought by the domestic socialist market economy.What's more,there are many problems existing in the cultivation of socialist national identity for college students in the new era,which are mainly: the insufficiency of theoretical construction of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities in response to the reality;the lack of thematic education activities to stimulate the sense of national belonging among college students;and the deficiency of the practice of college students' cognitive society.Therefore,three countermeasures are put forward to strengthen the cultivation of socialist national identity of college students in the new era,which are: strengthening the construction of "theoretical vitality" of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities,strengthening the subject education of socialist national identity of college students,and strengthening multi-level and multi-oriented investigation and practice activities of college students.4 figures,17 tables,and 95 references are included in this thesis.
