As the parent population of the society,the health condition of female college students is vital to the country's future and nation's prosperity.Data shows that in recent 30 years,the physique of college students has demonstrated a continuous downward trend,among whom that of the female college students is the most obvious.Obesity and malnutrition are the most severe phenomenon's and the physical function and fitness have been significantly declined with unhealthy lifestyle,so the health condition of contemporary female college students is of great concern.Colleges and universities are the cradle for cultivating high-quality talents.Therefore,along with the improvement of the comprehensive ability of college students,the physical condition of college students must be attached great importance.The softball is a low-intensity aerobic whole body exercise and it is not easy to produce fatigue because of its small exercise load,which conforms to the exercise needs of female college students.Long-term persistence will help strengthen the body.Meanwhile,during the exercise,the practitioners are required to calm down and eliminate distracting thoughts,which will help relieve the negative emotions and be conducive to the benign development of their physical and mental health.Therefore,the study on the effects of the softball on the physical and mental health of female college students is carried out.Based on previous studies,this article uses literature data,experimental methods,and mathematical statistics to study the effects of soft ball teaching on female college students' physical and mental health,and selects a combination of soft ball exercises as intervention content.In the three universities of North China University,Taiyuan Normal University and Jinzhong College,60 female students who took the soft ball course were selected as research samples.A 14-week exercise intervention was conducted to test the physical fitness and body of the subjects before and after the experiment.A comparative study of changes in indicators such as morphology,physical function,and mental health led to the following conclusions:1.Soft ball exercise is conducive to improving the body shape of female college students.Some body shape indexes change significantly,such as waist circumference and hip circumference decrease obviously.2.the experiment shows that it can significantly lower the heart rate in rest and improve vital capacity by long-term participation in softball training,and have a positive impact on the cardiorespiratory function of female college students.3.Soft ball exercise can improve flexibility and improve balance ability,which is shown in the following: the forward bending performance of sitting position is improved after the test,and the standing time of one foot with closed eyes is increased.The level of health and the scores of various factors have decreased after the test,and the three major factors of depression,obsession and anxiety have shown significant changes,while the scores of the six factors including paranoia and hostility have also declined after the test.But the change is not obvious.
