With the in-depth reform of the new curriculum standard and the implementation of national teaching reform,the school where the author serves as an intern has established the “551” teaching model appropriate for the implementation at the school through integration.This thesis studies the application practice of “551” teaching model in the middle school physics teaching.“551” teaching model includes 5 teaching elements including “preview-based learning plan”,“group cooperation in exploration”,“presentation & questioning”,“time-limit matching exercise”,and “evaluation & monitoring”,five student learning behavior experiences including “self-study reflection”,“hands-on experiment”,“analysis & discussion”,“independent evaluation” and “feedback correction” to finally achieve the general objective of “enhancing learners' scientific literacy”.Under the general background of implementing the reform practice of “551” teaching model,the author takes two parallel classes in Grade 8of A School in Baotou city of Inner Mongolia and studies the practice of“551” teaching model in the middle school physics teaching.According to the basic learning condition,the thesis mainly relies on “551” teaching model,offers targeted teaching design,gradually optimizes the course,and conducts a one-year teaching practice on the research objects.This thesis adopts a literature review,questionnaire survey,and case study,and data analysis methods in analyzing and studying the teaching progress of the class taught by the author.According to the analysis of multiple dimensions such as the changes in students' before class habit formation,in-class performance,learning initiative,after-class discussion and follow-up questions,and integrated exam score,the thesis analyzes the effects for the practical application of “551” teaching model in the middle school physics teaching.According to the practical research results,the author arrives at the following conclusions: Under the guidance of “551” teaching model”,90% of the students have formed the study habit of autonomous preview before class,the study atmosphere of self-study classes is strong,the autonomous learning capacity and self-discipline of students have been enhanced to a varying extent.Besides,students of different levels can get involved in the classroom teaching with a lively classroom atmosphere so that the classroom has been truly handed over to students and the learning efficiency of students in the classroom has been enhanced.Additionally,through in-class and extracurricular physics experiment training,physics experiments have also been gradually enriched,the experiment topics are no longer confined to books,students have become more active in observing the physics phenomena in life,and students' hands-on ability has been enhanced to some extent.The author selects 20 students with difficulty in learning physics and analyzes the change in their learning condition in the process of practicing “551” teaching model.Statistical analysis results indicate that their overall average score in the past six exams has witnessed a dwindling gap with the average score of the whole class.This shows that their academic performance has improved compared with the early stage.Moreover,through the practice of “551” teaching model,the study habit,learning attitude,and classroom performance of this group have been improved.The implementation of “551” teaching model in my school is still in the exploration stage and it's not hard to see its defects in the process of practice.Later,the author will rectify the defects discovered in the research so that “551” teaching model can be better applied in our school.
