With the advent of the information age,mind maps have become a new teaching model as a visualization tool.It has won the favor of many educators with its clear logic,rich templates,and simple operation.Currently,the new curriculum standards require teachers to find appropriate teaching methods to improve students' key academic abilities and core literacy.The conic curve is an extremely important content in the mathematics curriculum of high school.It has tedious calculations and strong correlation between knowledge structures.It has learning difficulties for students who lack patience and perseverance.This study applies mind maps to conic curve teaching.The use of mind maps to reduce the difficulty of teaching and learning conic curves has made a breakthrough in teaching methods,improved classroom teaching and learning effectiveness,and provided a more reliable reference for middle school teaching.The article is divided into three parts:The first part is chapters 1,2,and 3.This part summarizes the research and application of mind maps at home and abroad by analyzing the research background,purpose,and significance,and lays the foundation for in-depth research.The second part is Chapter 4.Through questionnaires and interviews,learn about the current teaching difficulties of teachers and students in the content of conic curves and the skills of using mind maps.The main difficulties include: difficulty in learning and loss of interest,inability to map accurately,lack of divergent thinking,and incomplete construction of knowledge systems.Teachers mostly use the teaching method in teaching the conic curve content,and there is a current situation in which a new method,such as mind mapping,is used to break through teaching difficulties.Communication with front-line teachers and comprehensive analysis show that mind maps have obvious advantages when applied to conic teaching:(1)improve learning interest;(2)improve thinking ability;(3)help build a knowledge system;(4)enhance overall memory.The third part is the focus of this article,including chapters 5 and 6.Through the application of mind maps in different lesson types of conic curves,it demonstrates the flexible use of mind maps to help students learn in actual teaching.According to the unique characteristics of mind maps,it shows that it plays different functions in different lesson types.This section provides specific strategies and examples of using mind maps in three types of lessons,and gives corresponding teaching suggestions.The purpose of this article is to provide first-line teachers with a way and efficiency to optimize the teaching of conic curves,help students increase their interest in learning,overcome learning difficulties,and improve learning efficiency.There are many teaching contents in mathematics subjects that can use mind maps to improve teaching efficiency,and related research needs to be further deepened.
