The purpose of national education is first achieved through the purpose of teacher education,and the educator plays the role of the chief responsible person which carries out the purpose of national education.The vocational education teacher training in the United States started earlier,and the quality assurance system of Career and Technical Education(CTE)teacher is relatively mature.CTE teachers have a unique position to improve the college and career preparation of all students,and play a key role in preparing students for college and career.How to train and retain professional teachers are the hot topic of professional teacher education and the focus of teacher education reform.The American CTE teacher quality assurance system includes teacher preparation,certification,recruitment,retention,induction,counselling,evaluation,professional learning,professional development,and the policies and procedures of educator environment,this type of system creates feedback loops that can maintain the quality of CTE teachers,ensure that policies work together,promote the construction of high-quality teachers,and the study of the American CTE teacher quality assurance system is of significance to China's vocational education teacher reform.This research adopts research methods such as literature method,comparative method,and case method.It starts from the aspects of American CTE teacher access guarantee,process guarantee,and results guarantee,etc,and summarizes the successful experience of US CTE teacher quality assurance.What's more,from the macro perspective,it also provides reference suggestions and countermeasures to improve the quality of vocational education teachers in China.This article mainly researches the quality assurance system of American CTE teachers from four aspects.First of all,research on the access guarantee system of the CTE teacher quality assurance system in the United States,and determine the qualification to become a CTE teacher from the CTE teacher qualification acquisition path to qualification certification and CTE teacher qualification examination.The second is to study the process assurance system of the CTE teacher quality assurance system in the United States.When CTE teachers work in school,the quality of teachers is guaranteed through appointment programs,teacher teaching ability training,and professional development.After that,I researched the results guarantee system of the CTE teacher quality assurance system in the United States,improved the quality of CTE teachers through performance evaluation and professional feedback,and used the CTE teacher quality assurance system in Ohio as a case study to understand the American practices and measures more intuitively.Finally,from the macro perspective,I put forward targeted suggestions and strategies to improve the quality of vocational and technical education teachers in China.For China's vocational education teacher quality assurance system,we must rely on training to strengthen the participation of teachers,strengthen the establishment of learning communities,strengthen teacher cooperation and communication,and emphasize the workplace to update teacher skills.
