| The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has pointed out that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,which is a new orientation for China's development.How to implement the core literacy of students' geography and build geography education in middle school in the new era have become a hot topic of research.The implementation of the core literacy of students' geography is inseparable from the geography education in middle schools.The geography teachers in middle school play a particularly important role and shoulder an irreplaceable responsibility.By employing the literature method,this paper analyzes the changes of the quality connotation of middle-school geography teachers since the reform and opening up,draws lessons from the traditional teacher culture,and integrates the Thought of Xi Jinping on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into the research of teacher education.Based on the development of modern geography,this paper summarizes the core literacy and characteristics of geography teachers from the realistic needs of geography education in the new era,and uses this theory as a reference to interview the geography teachers in the first line to analyze the current education program of geography in China's colleges and universities.The professional training program,combined with the interview results,proposes the revision of the new era geography teacher training program.The paper,based on the results of the interview,comes up with some suggestions to improve the professional education program of geography and reaches the following conclusions:1.The core literacy of geography teachers in the new era refers to the unique mindset and teaching skills of geography teachers.Geography teachers tend to think,behave and teach with geographical characteristics.Unlike teachers of other disciplines,geography teachers' charm lies in here.With the development of our country and geography education,it also refers to the brand new qualities and key abilities the middle-school geography teachers possess as the core literacy of geography subject has been defined.Those new qualities,especially including geographic information literacy,human culture,geographic wisdom,professionalism,can facilitate the tough task of shouldering the responsibility to fulfill the core literacy of students.2.The connection and characteristics of the core literacy of geography teachers in the new era means that geographic information literacy,human culture,geographic wisdom and professional literacy are an interrelated organic whole.Geographic information literacy is a key ability to strengthen the professional skills of geography teachers and promote the growth of geographic wisdom.Human culture is an external temperament,reflecting the professional qualities of geography teachers and consolidating geographical wisdom.Geographical wisdom is the very root of the core literacy of geography teachers and the foundation of information literacy.It is gradually sublimated into humanistic conservation.Professional literacy is the behavioral performance,which will not only be manifested through geographic information literacy,but also tempered and sublimated into humanistic conservation.The core literacy of geography teachers in the new era is characterized by the times,politics,dynamics,particularity,implicitness and classicity.3.The status quo of geography teachers' core literacy includes difficulties in the implementation of the core literacy of geography teachers in the new era,problems of how to strengthen the geography information processing ability of middle-school geography teachers,which should be concerned by the existing normal colleges and universities,and the weakening of middle-school geography teachers' skills,which should also be attached importance.4.Suggestions to amend the university's education program include elaborating the training program for the new era to ensure the quality of the training;link the middle school to optimize the curriculum. |
