Unit teaching is an effective way to help teachers grasp the teaching as a whole,pay attention to the connection of class hours,and implement core literacy.Beginner science is a comprehensive discipline that focuses on the unification of scientific concepts and principles.It aims to improve students 'scientific literacy,promote students' understanding of the nature of science,and help students form a comprehensive understanding of nature and science.Therefore,it is of great significance to implement unit teaching in the junior middle school science discipline.In this study,through surveys of relevant literature and front-line science teachers in the middle school of Hangzhou,we understand the current status of unit teaching in middle school science disciplines,analyze the problems,and provide solutions around the "Ub D" model.Ub D mode uses three stages of reverse teaching to organize unit teaching design,that is,"Phase 1: Clear Expected Learning Results","Phase 2: Determine Evaluation Method" and "Phase 3: Plan Related Learning Processes".The Ub D model divides unit goals into four types: learning transfer(T),meaning construction(M),knowledge(K),and skill(S),using six dimensions(explanation,interpretation,application,perspective,empathy,and self-knowledge)to assess students' understanding,using "ATM goals" to code the learning process.According to the curriculum standards,textbook units and knowledge structure,establish the entry point of the unit and solve the problem of "where to start".Develop a draft of the unit's instructional design as a transition for the designer to solve the problemof "non-adaptation".In the first stage,the target level in the Ub D mode is re-divided,and the "unit teaching goal design problem" is solved in combination with specific cases.In the second phase,a formative test preparation attribute table and a performance gauge attribute table were produced.Combined with the case of the scientific textbook unit,it focused on the method and implementation of the unit evaluation to solve the problem of "how to evaluate ".Phase 3 combines the case to plan the main learning activities and solves the problem of "how to design learning activities".Through Ub D mode,optimize the design process,highlight the implementation strategy,and provide reference templates for the middle school science unit teaching design.
