STEAM education dating from the USA plays a positive role in improving students' learning interest,practical and innovation abilities because of its characteristics of integrating multiple disciplines to solve practical problems in the education practice.This paper will focus on the teaching design of primary science curriculum,revising and improving it through practice and reflection so as to provide an essential referential perspective for STEAM education's integrating into primary science curriculum and improving primary school science teaching design.Besides,it provides a comprehensive new model and ideas for the localization transformation of STEAM education and the reform of primary science curriculum,inspiring domestic scholars and educators to think deeply and study more about the teaching design of STEAM education's integrating into primary science curriculum.Firstly,this paper elaborates the background of the research from the aspects of international environment,domestic environment and discipline environment,and explains the theoretical and practical significance of the research.The relevant research at home and abroad is analyzed and the research direction is determined.STEAM education and instructional design are conceptually defined.Secondly,it summarizes the origin and development of STEAM education in order to understand the connotation of STEAM education more accurately,and elaborates the theoretical basis of the research.Thirdly,the author makes an in-depth analysis of the goals,activities and evaluation of STEAM education,and integrates them into the teaching design of primary school science.Then,based on the analysis of the procedures and modes of teaching design,the author constructs the model of primary school science teaching design based on STEAM education.According to the model and the teaching designs carried out from the four fields of primary science curriculum,the teaching designs will be reflected,such as Make a hat in second grade,How to move in fourth grade,Motion and Friction in fifth grade,and Eclipses in sixth grade.The teaching design is practiced and evaluated.Finally,according to the implementation evaluation of the instructional design,this paper summarizes and reflects on the model of the instructional design based on STEAM education,the instructional design and the localization of STEAM education,and points out the direction for the next research.
