At the entrance of 21st century,the new round elementary educational reform was brought out in our country.As an important content of music course,“feeling and appreciation”is arranged on the first part in“The Standard of Music Course in Compulsory Education”,enacted by Ministry of Education.The standard also requires students to listen to all kinds of music.As a brunch of music,piano art has taken up a significant status,during the past several centuries.A number of excellent piano works supply abundant resources for music appreciation.When the amateur art education becomes popular,people regard piano performance learning as the first choice.According to the statistics,more than 30%pupils have been learning piano art in China.Therefore,it has the bases on theory,contents and masses to fit piano music into music classes in primary schools.There are 2 kinds of music text books for primary schools,published by People's Music Press and People's Education Press,respectively.However,the amount of piano works is only 9%?10%and various in each term.At the same time,a research on teachers and students from 3 primary school in the city shows that the teaching methods of piano works in music appreciation,courses are simple and make little use of the students who take part in the amateur art education and extracurricular activities.Actual problems in text books and teaching methods indicate that piano don't fit into music class in primary school very well.In order to solve the problems,teachers could use the follow 3 strategies.Firstly,the publisher should rebuild the text books and add more piano works into the books.Meanwhile,music teachers can also choose suitable piano works and lead students to learn to appreciate for complement.Secondly,music teachers can consider of make good use of students taking part in amateur art education to help develop the effect.Thirdly,music teachers can carry out more activities in and after class for complement.May these strategies improve the music appreciation course in primary schools.
