Positive psychology recognizes and taps people's inner positive potential,virtue,and strength.Meanwhile,it stresses the cultivation of positive qualities,experience of positive emotions,and the shaping of a positive environment,thereby giving full play to the potential constructive strength of individuals.Exploring new ways from the perspective of positive psychology can make use of the relevant achievements of positive psychology and promote the continuous improvement of ideological and political education at universities.Based on relevant concepts and main viewpoints such as positive psychology and ideological and political education in universities,this thesis demonstrates their compatibility from three aspects--the importance of their promotion,feasibility of their combination,and their relevance to reality.Through a questionnaire survey,this study investigates the cultivation of positive qualities,emotions,environment,and moral virtue of the university students receiving ideological and political education,as well as the current promotion of ideological and political courses.This provides insights into the current status and enables analysis of the reasons behind.Results show that university students' positive qualities,emotions,and environment are highly positively correlated with their ideological and political qualities.Though certain achievements have been made in various aspects of cultivation,there is still room for improvement.We should use positive psychology to promote ideological and political education at universities,further cultivate students' positive qualities,enhance their positive emotions,strengthen their ideals and faiths,and improve their ideological and political qualities.To explore the important inspirations from positive psychology for ideological and political education at universities,this thesis delves into five aspects of the issue: strengthening the humanistic education philosophy,fully leveraging the dominant functions of the teaching teams,updating the educational content to keep pace with the times,strengthening the positive experience of the educational methods,and optimizing the support system for the educational environment.Moreover,from the perspective of positive psychology,this thesis formulates teaching activity proposals on education of ideals and faiths,patriotism,moral norms,and all-round development,to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education at universities.
