Teaching materials are an important tool and carrier for teachers 'classroom teaching,and they are also the main basis for students' learning.The text system is the main body and core of the textbook,and the study of the text system plays an important role both in teacher teaching and student learning.With the release of the 2017 edition of the General Senior High School Geography Curriculum Standard,various versions of new high school geography textbooks have been published.These textbooks are refreshing in appearance and content,and the text system is unique."Atmosphere on Earth" is one of the key contents in the textbook of geography for senior high school.It is the basis of the "Pressure zone and wind zone","Formation of global climate","Cyclone and anticyclone" in the elective geography textbook,and " The content of Atmosphere on Earth is relatively abstract,logical,and difficult.It is the basic module of the core literacy of geography,and it is also the focus of the level examination.Therefore,the text system analysis of the "atmosphere on earth" is representative of the analysis of high school geography textbooks.This article first compares the text system of the new version of the new textbook in 2019 with the textbook system of the 2004 version of the old textbook,"Atmosphere on Earth",and finds the differences between the text systems of the new and old textbooks.There are three contrasting aspects: text content,text organization and arrangement,and text description.Studies have shown that in terms of text content:(1)The content of the new textbook is reduced by half compared to the old textbook,and the location of the same content in the new and old textbook "Atmosphere on Earth" has changed.(2)The content structure of the old and new teaching materials is different.The new textbook follows the principles of shallow to deep,easy to difficult,and easy to understand.The entire chapter of the old textbook is more difficult.In the organization and arrangement of the text:(1)The module structure of the new textbook uses the "total-point-total" arrangement,while the old textbook uses the "total-point" arrangement.(2)The background of the cover of the new textbook is consistent with the content of the teaching.The fonts are uniform,but the layout is slightly random;while the layout of the old textbooks is neat and the fonts are not messy.(3)The images of the new textbooks are mostly in the same color system or similar shades.The old textbooks have many colors and large color differences.(4)The graphic name of the new textbook is located in the lower left corner of the chart,and the graphic name of the old textbook is centered below the chart.(5)The font,size and line spacing of the new textbook are more reasonable.The text and title are separated by a large gap,so that the level and structure of the content can be seen at a glance.The text and title of the old textbook have a smaller line spacing,which makes the text typeset More compact,adding a sense of depression.In terms of the text:(1)The rigorous,detailed,and logical structure of the narrative text content of the new textbook is higher than that of the old textbook.(2)Compared with the old textbooks,the active texts of the new textbooks are more interesting and inquiring,and the expressions are more diverse.Based on the analysis of the differences between the text systems of the new and old textbooks,"Atmosphere on Earth," this article summarizes the characteristics and deficiencies of the textbook systems of the new textbooks.The new textbook system has the following characteristics:(1)The text content is highly consistent with the higher standards;(2)The content of the text is popular,contemporary,basic,and lifelike;the organization and arrangement of the text is flexible,diverse,and hierarchical;the description of the narrative text is rigorous,logical,and theoretical The characteristics of connection with reality;the expressions of active texts have the characteristics of diversity,fun,openness,inspiration,and inquiry.(3)The curriculum concept has the characteristics of "literature concept",paying attention to students' lifelong development,comprehensive development and innovative ability.At the same time,the text system of the new textbook "Atmosphere on Earth" is deficient in three aspects:(1)The text is improperly located,and the combination of graphics and text is unreasonable;(2)The content details are lacking;(3)The language of the text is serious,rigid,and lacks vividness.By sorting out the characteristics of the text system of the new textbook,this article puts forward relevant teaching suggestions for geography teachers in middle schools.It mainly includes the following points:(1)Changing teaching concepts and innovating teaching methods;(2)Interpret the new curriculum standards carefully and grasp the teaching direction;(3)Analyze unit instructions and grasp the main purpose of the unit;(4)Grasp the text content from the text description,text difficulty,text emotion,and text difficulty;(5)Strengthen "column" teaching and highlight "active" teaching.Limited to the research level and time,this article fails to analyze the image system and operation system of the new textbook,and the teaching suggestions have not been tested in practice.
