With the continuous development of the “Belt and Road”,the political,economic,and cultural cooperation and exchanges between China and Nepal have become more frequent,which has stimulated the upsurge of Chinese language learning.Since 2005,the Confucius Institute Headquarters has dispatched volunteer Chinese language teachers to Nepal at the invitation of the Nepali government,it has been 15 years.Nowadays,the number of private primary and secondary schools applying for volunteers of Chinese teachers is increasing,and the Chinese teaching in private primary and secondary schools has gradually become the backbone of Chinese teaching in Nepal.The author was fortunate to pass the Overseas Chinese Teacher Volunteer Selection Examination and went to a private primary and secondary school in Nepal to serve as a Chinese teacher.During her teaching period,the author found that there are many issues in Chinese teaching in private primary and secondary schools such as independent teaching,uneven teaching resources,and poor teaching progress,paying less attention to Chinese teaching and others.Therefore,it is decided to take the current situation of Chinese teaching in private schools in Nepal as the research object,to investigate the specific problems in Chinese teaching in private schools in Nepal through questionnaires and classroom observations,and to propose corresponding solutions.This article is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly discusses the research significance of selected topics,related research results at home and abroad,the research objects and research methods adopted in this article.The second chapter mainly introduces the relevant situation of Chinese education in Nepal,including the basic situation of Nepal,Chinese teaching units,the development stage of Chinese teaching,and the development of Chinese teaching in public and private primary and secondary schools.The third chapter mainly investigates the current situation of Chinese teaching in Nepal's private primary and secondary schools through questionnaires and classroom observations.Including teachers,students,curriculum,teaching materials,classroom teaching.The fourth chapter mainly through the analysis of the results of the survey of teaching status,point out the current problems of Chinese teaching in private schools in Nepal are in terms of policies and institutions,curriculum,teaching materials,classroom management,etc.The fifth chapter provides suggestions for the problems in Chinese teaching in Nepal's private primary and secondary schools through an investigation of actual teaching conditions.The sixth chapter is the conclusion part,summarizes the research results of this article,and puts forward the research deficiencies and prospect.
