Paying attention to the development of young people's early sense of responsibility can not only promote good adaptation of individuals,but also cultivate a young generation with a sense of service,responsibility and citizenship for the country and society.There have been studies on factors influencing students' sense of responsibility.They pay more attention to the content of school education and less attention to the role of teachers' leadership.Based on the theory of social cognition and the view of social information processing,teachers as class organizers and managers,their leadership style is an important environmental variable,which should be related to the sense of responsibility of students,but there is little empirical research on this.This research provides an empirical basis for investigating the relationship between teachers' democratic leadership and students' sense of responsibility and its mechanism of action.It also helps to enrich the understanding of the influencing factors of students' sense of responsibility,in order to cultivate students' sense of responsibility,especially in school education.A generation of well-qualified and qualified citizens will give better guidance to teachers' role.In this study,551 primary school students in grades 5-6 in 8 primary schools in Ping Xiang City,Jiangxi Province were used as subjects.The questionnaire survey was used to investigate the relationship between democratic leadership,class atmosphere,peer relationship,and primary school students' sense of responsibility.Descriptive statistics,difference testing,correlation analysis,using Hayes(2013)SPSS macro program PROCESS to test the mediating role of class atmosphere and peer relationship in the relationship between democratic leadership and students' sense of responsibility,using deviation-corrected percentile Bootstrap method for mediation Inspection,the results are as follows:(1)There are differences in the sense of responsibility of pupils in different senior grades.(2)Teachers' democratic leadership is positively related to the sense of responsibility of senior students in elementary schools.(3)Class atmosphere has an intermediary role between the democratic leadership of teachers and the sense of responsibility of pupils.(4)Peer relationship has an intermediary role between the class atmosphere and the sense of responsibility of pupils.(5)Class atmosphere and peer relationship have a chain intermediary role between the democratic leadership of teachers and the sense of responsibility of senior students in elementary schools.The conclusion of this study: In the relationship between the teachers' democratic leadership style and the sense of responsibility of elementary school senior students,the class atmosphere and peer relationship have a chain intermediary role.
