| In the curriculum standard of biology for senior high school,it is proposed that students should "actively promote the concept and knowledge of caring for life to others,advocate healthy and civilized life style,and become promoters and practitioners of healthy China".This requires high school students to have their own health literacy,that is,the ability of individuals to acquire,understand and process health information and services,and to use them to maintain and promote their own health.Health literacy is an evaluation index of the effect of health education,which is determined by the degree of implementation of health education.Therefore,it is necessary to understand the current situation of middle school students' health literacy,in order to strengthen the penetration of health education in biology teaching,so as to improve the health literacy of middle school students and make them become promoters and practitioners of healthy China.In this paper,20 biology teachers were interviewed and 249 students of M Senior Middle School in Southwest China were investigated about their health education attitude and health literacy.The results are as follows:(1)Students are aware of the importance of health education,have the willingness to accept health education,and hope to infiltrate health education in biology teaching.(2)The level of health literacy is low.The proportion of students with health literacy is only 11.76%.The proportion of students with health knowledge and concept is 28.2%,the proportion of students with health skills is 17.2%,and the proportion of students with healthy lifestyle and behavior is 14.3%.In terms of healthy lifestyle and behavior habits,it is lower than the other two aspects.(3)There was a significant difference in health literacy among students of different genders(P < 0.05),and girls is significantly better than boys.However,there was no significant difference in health literacy among students of different grades,different class levels and different source areas(P > 0.05).(4)There were significant differences among students of different genders in health knowledge and concept,healthy lifestyle and behavioral(P<0.05),while there were no significant differences among students of different grades,classes and places of origin(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in health skills among students from different genders,grades,classes and origin.This shows that the health literacy level of high school students is not optimistic,and biology teaching does not pay attention to training.According to the present situation,the following teaching suggestions were put forward.First,make fulluse of biology teaching materials to permeate health education;Second,adopt a variety of teaching strategies,such as group cooperative learning,inquiry style,life style,case and problem situation,to increase students' interest in learning biological knowledge.Third,carry out rich teaching activities,such as health literacy theme activities,health education activities and health literacy related social surveys to promote health knowledge.Through these,we can enrich the basic health knowledge of senior high school students,cultivate their healthy life style and behavior,improve their health skills,and achieve the purpose of improving their health literacy level. |
