The we-media represented by Weibo and WeChat help anyone become the publisher and receiver of information with the uninterrupted development of the Internet,.These changes have a significant impact on the thoughts,values and Internet behavior habits of young college students,and bring challenges to the management of public opinion of universities.In the context of new-media,the crisis of public opinion erupted by colleges and universities in recent years has attracted the attention in various fields,such as the drug poisoning case of Fudan University,the incident of learning companion of Shandong University,the cancel of the liberal arts major in the independent enrollment of Tsinghua University,and so on.These cases have shown the new-media has broad influence,and seriously affect the stability and social reputation of colleges and universities.Hainan university and Hainan normal university,as two major universities in hainan province,are also facing the test in the new media era.Lack of effective management of dealing with the public opinion and improper handling will not only damage the stability and development of universities,but bring negative effects to the local image.Therefore,in the context of new-media,it is very important to explore the effective management of Hainan colleges and universities when facing with emergencies.This study combines the two public opinion events that broke out in Hainan University and Hainan Normal University in 2019,and carries on the detailed understanding and the interpretation of two cases in the new media environment.Hopes the present situation,the existence question and the influence of the Hainan university will be summarized,and trying to put forward the suggestion in order to provide the reference for emergency management when dealing with university public opinion.
