Chemistry is a subject based on experiment,and experiment is the soul of chemistry,which is the important way for students to acquire chemistry knowledge and for teachers to implement teaching methods.Chemistry is also closely related to life.It is a prominent feature and important trend of the current chemistry teaching reform that chemistry teaching returns to life and integrates into the whole implementation process of chemistry curriculum.Junior high school chemistry is the primary stage of students' exposure to chemistry knowledge.However,China attaches little importance to chemistry experiments in junior high schools,and there is no effective system guarantee for experimental teaching activities.Rural middle schools are more due to the remote geographical location,weak educational resources and teachers,a growing number of left-behind students,the lack of off-campus education and a series of extremely complex practical problems make this phenomenon particularly prominent,leading to some students' learning enthusiasm is not high and also the poor teaching effect.The concept of life-oriented education in chemistry experiments may make up for this deficiency,but many experiments in life are only used for the teaching of chemical life,and there are very few cases of real life experiments.On the other hand,the foundation education course reform outline(try out)also explicitly proposed “change course content difficult,complex,partial,old and too much focus on the present situation of the book knowledge,strengthen the course content related with students' life,and the development of modern society,science and technology,pay attention to the students' interest in learning and experience,select the basis of lifelong learning necessary knowledge and skills.” Based on the above two aspects,in order to implement the concept of chemical experiment life education,to let students have a deep understanding of the relationship between chemistry and life,to fully mobilize students' learning enthusiasm,and to cultivate students' interest in learning chemistry,this paper carries out the case development research of rural middle school chemistry experiment life.This paper takes "the countryside middle school chemistry experiment nine grade" as the research object,researching on the author's ninth grade students and rural middle school in some chemistry teacher questionnaires and interviews,based on the questionnaire and interview results and constructiveness learning theory,Dewey's education theory of life,Tao's life education theory and the theory of STSE such important education theory,some examples and designs given in this paper such as,the self-control water purifiers,production of calcium oxide and clarification of limestone water,production and properties of carbon dioxide,self-made acid-base indicator and self-made test paper,and homemade purple cabbage solution and homemade test paper for material of acid and alkali these five life chemistry experiment cases,which will be applied to the classroom experiment teaching.The research shows that:(1)the expected five experimental cases have been repeatedly explored through experiments and constantly modified and improved,and the final experimental scheme has good reproducibility,which can be used in classroom teaching.(2)the selection of experimental items followed the principles of instrument,material life(substitute for living objects,food,etc.)and principle application life,which narrowed the distance between students and the experiment.Students showed high interest because they were familiar with it.(3)the design of the experiment scheme takes into account the principles of safety and operability.The experiment can be carried out smoothly in the classroom and students can carry out spontaneously at home.(4)the interest of experimental phenomena enhanced the charm of the experiment,which successfully attracted almost all the students and significantly improved their learning status.This paper provides a feasible plan for the development of chemistry experiment teaching in rural middle school.With the popularization of life-oriented teaching,we hope that more teachers and other education peers can join in,and discuss and share ideas and experiences of experimental life-oriented design.
