The new curriculum reform has shown the trend of "learning chemistry through experiments".Instead of being simply used as a cognitive basis and auxiliary means,the chemical experiment is integrated into the whole implementation process of chemistry curriculum.Chemical experiments play an important role in chemistry teaching because students form chemical knowledge network,grasp the methods of experimental inquiry,and improve the core literacy based on the experiment results.However,due to the limitations of teachers' teaching concept,students' experimental skills and chemical laboratory equipments,the chemical experiment teaching in the rural junior middle schools cannot live up to the new curriculum standard,and the teaching effect is not satisfactory.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the present situation of chemical experiment teaching in rural junior middle schools so as to facilitate the effectiveness of chemical experiment teaching.This paper takes a teacher and student from a rural junior middle school as the research object,and investigates the implementation status of the chemistry experiment teaching in rural middle schools through questionnaire survey and interview survey.The research results indicate that some major problems exist in the chemical experiment teaching in the rural junior middle school: Teachers do not attach importance to chemical experiments;Students lack the motivation to participate in chemical experiments;The evaluation system of chemical experiment teaching is incomplete;The teaching resources of chemical laboratory is insufficient.The following countermeasures were put forward in the research: Enhance teachers' awareness of chemical experimental teaching;Enrich students' experience of chemical experiments;Strengthen the construction and management of chemical laboratories;Establish a comprehensive and multi-level chemical experiment teaching evaluation system.It is hoped that through the results of this research,more attention will be paid to this issue,so as to improve the status quo of rural junior middle school chemistry experiment teaching,promote the professional development of teachers,and improve the core literacy of students.
