In 2014 the Ministry of Education issued Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Course Reformation and Fulfill the Fundamental Task of Fostering Virtue through Education.The Opinion proposed to cultivate students' core competencies: the essential qualities and core abilities students should be prepared to adapt their life-long development and social development.Many front line teachers gradually find that the traditional indoctrinated teaching methods becomes less and less efficiency,more and more unsuitable for the cultivation of students' key competencies.The transformation of teaching method becomes so many front line teachers' wishes.Within this context,the efficient ‘6 + 1' teaching mode of Hebei elite high school stood out.Teachers teach concisely and students think independently and explore cooperatively.Such kind of teaching mode fully reflects that students are the main parts of class and their ability to explore and solve problems are cultivated.It has made a great success in Hebei elite high school,which lets more teachers and students see the hope of transforming teaching mode.Jiyuan No.1 high school,the exemplary school in Henan province,has a further study and promotion of efficient ‘6 + 1' teaching mode to faster the transformation of teaching mode.On the basis of fully literature review,through investigation and interview,this passage takes Jiyuan No.1 high school as an example,finds out the problems when teachers and students apply the mode in geography class,puts forward the improvement strategies based on the actual situation.The passage is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which illustrates the research background,efficient ‘6 + 1' teaching mode and the research status,research method,research significance,research route etc.of efficient geography teaching mode.The research of the highly efficient ‘6 + 1' teaching model was organized by summarizing the practices of No.1 Middle School in Jiyuan and other schools that have used the highly efficient ‘6 + 1' teaching model.The research detailly discussed in the specific operation methods of the seven processes of ‘mentoring,thinking,deliberation,exhibition,evaluation,inspection,and practice',and proposed the principles of self-directed learning,democracy in teaching,and cooperative inquiry,which should be followed in the ‘6 + 1' teaching model used in the classes.In addition,it summarizes the learning requirements and discipline requirements in the classroom,which play important roles for the smooth implementation of the efficient ‘6 + 1' classroom model.Through the questionnaire survey of 23 geography teachers and 518 students of No.1 Middle School in Jiyuan and the interviews conducted with some teachers and students,the current application situation of the highly effective ‘6 + 1' teaching model can be deduced in the geography classroom of No.1 Middle School in Jiyuan.After detailed observation and investigation,the problems related to the school management level emerged,such as insufficient encouragement measures for students,weak restraints on teachers,and lack of corresponding equipment support.In the aspect of implementing the teaching model by teachers,there are still problems concerning the insufficient understanding of the ‘6 + 1' model,the weak control ability of productive teaching,and the uneven quality when compiling the ‘Learning-guide Plan'.At the level of implementing the model by the student,problems such as low acceptance of the model,poor self-learning ability,insufficient group cooperation,and inactive presentation have appeared.Combining with the various problems existing in the implementation of this teaching model by the teachers and students of No.1 Middle School in Jiyuan,this article,through theoretical review,proposes a strategy for improving the efficient ‘6 + 1' classroom model in the geography classroom of high school.At the school management level,the encouragement mechanism for students should be strengthened and teachers should be evaluated in multiple ways.Meanwhile,teachers should pay more attention to the academic situation and enhance the ability to control the productive teaching,work cooperatively to improve the quality of the preparation of the learning-guide plan.At the same time,they can adjust the ‘6 + 1' mode appropriately according to their teaching characteristics.In addition,students should master the various learning strategies of geographic knowledge,enhance their self-learning ability,deepen the team work ability,improve the efficiency of cooperation,and increase the enthusiasm of classroom participation.Finally,through a record of the improved ‘6 + 1' geography classroom,the feasibility of the improved strategy was verified.The adjusted high-efficiency ‘6 + 1' classroom is more in line with teachers' teaching personality and easier to be controlled by teachers,at the same time,students' participation in the classroom has also been greatly improved.
