The comprehensive practical activity course,which is an important course that promotes China's core quality education,shows great development potential in terms of cultivating students' comprehensive quality and fostering character and civic virtue.The substantial existing researches of the course are mainly focused on such aspects as the course teaching concept,content development,implementation strategy,etc.However,the teaching research of this course based on scientific investigation is seldom laid emphasis,and little progress has been made neither.In this study,the current situation of comprehensive practical activities was investigated in the common senior high schools in Chengmai County,Hainan province,the existing problems and causes were analyzed,the strategy and method to solve these problems were proposed,and the teaching cases for scientific investigation,themed by energy resource,ecological environment,scientific exploration and healthy life,were designed so as to explore the effects of comprehensive practical activity teaching through scientific investigation experience activities to improve students' learning interests and abilities as well as teacher literacy.The main results are as follows:(1)The main problems in the process of putting comprehensive practical activity courses in use in rural senior high schools are those asteachers' low career comprehensive quality ability,students' poor foundation,weak ability and low learning initiative,inadequate implementation strength of course,etc.(2)According to the local characteristics,in-depth analysis of the reasons for the above problems,corresponding strategies were proposed which aiming at issues such as the process of carrying out activities,improving software and hardware equipment,low teacher comprehensive literacy level and limited time and energy.(3)It is helpful to stimulate students' learning interests,to broaden their learning vision,and to promote their core quality development such as "healthy life","mastering the way to learn",and "practical innovation" by designing and implementing scientific survey experience activities.(4)It is useful to improve the implementation effect of the school course and promote the teachers' multi-skill development of educational and teaching ability through carrying out teaching activity by using scientific investigation platform.Based on above research results,it is indicated that teaching research of comprehensive practical activity based on scientific investigation in senior high school can effectively cultivate students' comprehensive qualities.Meanwhile,it can also help teachers improve their comprehensive literacy levels to promote the development of comprehensive practical activity courses in rural senior high schools.
