Research On Naturalization Of Asian Men's Basketball Team Based On Ethnic Identity Theory

Since entering the new century,naturalized athletes have been involved in most sports around the world,especially basketball.In recent years,the phenomenon of naturalized athletes has attracted great attention from people in Asian countries and has also triggered a series of arguments and objections in major Asian men's basketball competitions.National identity is a very influential factor in the phenomenon of naturalized athletes.The national identity of the public,the national identity of the naturalized athletes and the national identity of the naturalized countries directly determine whether the naturalized athletes can be retained and achieve results.By using the methods of literature review,historical comparison and logical analysis,this paper divides the major Asian countries into the following types: non-naturalized players-China,dependent on naturalized players-Jordan,Qatar,Philippines,and naturalized players to make up for the weak-Japan,South Korea and Iran.Through analyzing the development process and main types of Asian men's basketball naturalized players,and combining with the performance of Asian naturalized players in the 2019 Men's Basketball World Cup,this paper makes academic analysis and research on the phenomenon of Asian men's basketball naturalization.In the specific research,vertically,the development process of Asian men's basketball naturalized athletes was sorted out in chronological order,starting from the Philippines men's basketball team to open the precedent of Asian men's basketball naturalized athletes,and then the western Asian countries started a large range of naturalized athletes with rich natural resources.Until recent years,Japan and South Korea are also strengthening the introduction and implementation of naturalized athletes.Horizontally,with the help of the theory of national identity,this paper analyzes and compares the naturalization phenomenon of Asian men's basketball team from different perspectives.It expounds the national identity and its importance of naturalized athletes from the perspectives of identity,cultural identity,social identity,value identity and national psychological emotion,and demonstrates the relationship among national identity,national identity and cultural identity in cultural identity.This paper analyzes the dynamic changes of national identity from multiple perspectives and explores the influence of the dynamic changes of national identity on the whole process of naturalization athletes.The research shows that the formation of identity,cultural identity,social identity,value identity and national psychological and emotional identity between naturalized athletes and the public is a dynamic process and is influenced by many factors.There are some problems in Asian men's basketball naturalization athletes,such as difficult formation of identity,poor cultural identity,low social identity,and differences in value identity.Combined with the phenomenon of naturalized athletes in other sports,the healthy development of the Asian men's basketball team needs the joint efforts of the Asian basketball association,the national basketball association and the people of all countries to promote the stable development of the Asian men's basketball team.The development process and overall situation of naturalization of Asian men's basketball team also have some enlightenment and mirror for the development of China's men's basketball team.First,the development of China's men's basketball team should be based on its own current situation,in-depth analysis and demonstration of the need to introduce naturalized athletes;Secondly,naturalized athletes are feasible in our country.Combined with the theory of national identity,China's men's basketball team can preferentially naturalize outstanding Chinese athletes,making it easier to form national identity at the public level.Thirdly,we should lead the development of basketball in our country with the method of naturalized athletes,and learn from the advanced training,recovery and health care methods of naturalized athletes.We should give full play to the influence and motivation of sports stars and form a development strategy of "point to surface,surface to surface" and "body to body" to solve the fundamental problem of cultivating local talents.So as to realize the steady promotion of China's men's basketball team and lay a solid foundation for China's men's basketball team to stand erect among the world's top men's basketball teams.
