Research On Excellent Young Men's Tennis Players' Selection Of Events In The Period Of Professional Transition

Tennis is a highly professional sport.Reasonable selection of events can make athletes improve their ranking more efficiently and become the top player in the professional tennis field.Therefore,"Selection of events" has become a research direction in the tennis field in recent years in China.With the arrival of ITF(International Tennis Federation)major reform in 2019,athletes'demand for and purpose of competition have changed,making them young and young.The research on the athletic contest of the year becomes more and more urgent.By means of literature,interviews,mathematical statistics and comparative analysis,this paper makes statistics and Analysis on the competition data of 10 elite athletes in China and 15 elite foreign athletes in the world in the past five years,a total of 25 athletes in their career transition period,and explores the reasons for their ranking improvement.The conclusions drawn from the study are as follows:The overall performance of Chinese athletes in the transition period is not satisfactory,mainly due to the venue,the late entry time of youth events and the lack of key events.Foreign athletes mainly compete in Europe,and will choose the type of venues they are good at.The planning of key events is more regular.Frequent acquisition and use of foreign cards make foreign athletes have more opportunities to participate in high-level events.By comparison,it is found that the number and ranking of "one-round tours" need to be considered in combination with the level of the tournament.Higher-level events or top-level events can be regarded as the target events of"training by competition" in the transitional period,and more participation in qualifying competitions is a more effective way to improve ranking.
