In the information age,it is inevitable for us to master the use of computers, but with the concept of computational thinking, people's learning scope has been expanded. In 2018,the Ministry of Education issued the information technology curriculum standard for general senior high schools, which proposed that computational thinking is required to cultivate students' core literacy of information technology discipline in senior high school, which consists of four parts:information awareness, computational thinking, digital learning and innovation, and information social responsibility[1].Computational thinking is an abstract concept, which can't be obtained in a short period of time.It requires at least one year of long-term training before it is possible to have.Based on this,it plays an important and positive role in cultivating students' ability of calculating thinking in primary and secondary schools. In the junior high school information technology classroom, combined with the theoretical basis of project-based learning and computational thinking, this research constructs a teaching activity plan to cultivate the ability of computational thinking, and then applies the teaching design to the scratch program design,in order to verify the effectiveness of the project-based teaching method to cultivate the ability of computational thinking of students. The main contents of this paper include:the first chapter is the introduction part, which mainly introduces the importance of training computational thinking in the contemporary primary and secondary schools, the effectiveness of project-based learning on the cultivation of students' computational thinking ability,as well as the research significance, methods and contents of this study. The second chapter is the theory combing part, which respectively discusses the related concepts of Computational Thinking and project-based learning, and introduces the relevant theoretical basis for the subsequent research. The third chapter is the teaching design part, which mainly introduces the basis of the integration of project-based learning and computational thinking,as well as the principles of project selection and design. The fourth chapter is the practice of project-based learning in actual teaching.First of all,it analyzes the current situation of teaching;secondly,it introduces the design scheme of the whole experiment, including the experimental object, experimental purpose, experimental variables, research tools and evaluation methods;finally,it introduces the three processes of the whole project. The fifth chapter is the data analysis stage, which mainly analyzes the questionnaires collected from the students. This paper analyzes and summarizes the students' learning effect from the dimensions of creativity, algorithm, critical thinking,problem-solving and cooperation and communication. The sixth chapter is the summary of this paper.Firstly,it summarizes the research of this paper, and then puts forward the shortcomings of this study. Finally,it makes a prospect for the follow-up research.Based on the project-based learning method to cultivate students' computational thinking ability has a certain positive role, mainly reflected in the improvement of students'ability to analyze and solve problems, the improvement of students' innovation ability, and the most important is the improvement of students' algorithm thinking ability. It is hoped that the research in this paper can bring some help to the cultivation of the ability of computational thinking in primary and secondary schools, and promote the development of students into innovative talents useful to the society.
