Working memory updating is an important part of the central executive function,which is responsible for the process of adjusting and changing the working memory content according to the new information presented.Compared with other central executive functions,working memory refresh function is most closely related to advanced cognitive activities,and plays a very important role in language,creation,planning,learning,reasoning,thinking,problem-solving and decision-making.The deficiency of working memory updating will have a profound impact on individual learning,life and social participation.Hearing impaired children are one of the major groups of special children in China.At present,the characteristics of working memory updating of hearing impaired children are not clear.Whether the working memory updating of hearing impaired children can be improved through intervention remains to be further explored.Based on the previous researches on the working memory updating,this study designed two researches: the first is the research on the updating characteristics of children with hearing impairment.By comparing the performance of 30 hearing-impaired children and 30hearing-healthy children in two experiments,to explore the characteristics of working memory updating of hearing-impaired children.In Experiment 1,the N-back task was used,and the mixed experiment design of 2(type of subjects)× 2(task conditions)was adopted.In Experiment 2,the color spot position refresh task was selected and the mixed experiment design of 2(type of subjects)× 3(task conditions)was adopted.The characteristics of working memory updating of hearing-impaired children were explored by comparing the accuracy and response time of the n-back task and color spots updating task between the hearing-impaired children and the hearing-healthy impaired children.The second study is the intervention study on the updating of hearing-impaired children using a single experimental design to explore whether the runing memory task training can improve the working memory updating ability of hearing impaired childrenThe conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The accuracy and response time of hearing-impaired children in different updating times of n-back task were lower than hearing-healthy children.The accuracy and responsetime of hearing-impaired children in different refresh times of color spots updating task were lower than hearing-healthy children.The working memory updating function of hearing-impaired children was impaired.(2)The working memory updating function of hearing impaired children can be improved by training.
