The research on how to effectively cultivate students' problem-proposing ability in mathematics teaching is a relatively new subject in recent years. The curriculum objectives of China's general mathematics curriculum standards(2017 edition)also clearly stipulated:improving the ability to find and propose problems from mathematical point of view, analyzing and solving problems. This paper firstly introduces the preliminary understanding of domestic and foreign experts and scholars about the current situation of cultivating the students' ability to find mathematical problems by the literature analysis. Then the paper uses the questionnaire survey method, which investigates the related students' problem-proposing ability in the classroom of high schools from consciousness, the manner, the ability aspects, and so on,and analyzes the results.Students have the following performance in the classroom.(1)The consciousness of problem-proposing ability in the classroom is not strong, and the enthusiasm is not high.(2)Do not or do not dare to ask questions.(3)The level of asking questions is not high. There are mainly the following reasons.(1)For the current limited level of students, the level of questioning is limited.(2)The learning habits and methods exist some problems.(3)The reflection is not enough.Teachers have the following shortcomings.(1)Teachers do not give proper guidance to the creation of situations in the classroom.(2)Teachers do not pay attention to the training of student's thinking, teaching knowledge instead of thinking.(3)Teachers do not give students enough time to think and ask questions. For the present situation of teachers, there are mainly the following reasons.(1)Influenced by the exam-oriented education, the teaching mode is traditional and pays more attention to the actual effect in the classroom.(2)Teachers lack of innovative consciousness.(3)Teachers realize the importance of students' questions, but lack of practice on students' problem-proposing ability.(4)Teachers' personal professional level is limited. And then the paper proposes the corresponding teaching strategies and gives out some methods and ideas about cultivating the student's problem-proposing ability,by the actual teaching and the related literature. From the student's point of view,we put forward the following strategies.(1)To improve the students' consciousness of asking questions, which mainly includes creating classroom atmosphere and increasing classroom interest;skillfully setting up situations to arouse student's interest;building a bridge to cultivate student's consciousness of asking questions by combining with their mistakes;skillfully setting up problem chains, the infiltration method for problem consciousness cultivation.(2)To improvestudent's attitude towards questions, which mainly includes democracy and encourages students asking questions;Interest in thinking process of solving mathematical problems.(3)To improve student's ability to ask questions, which mainly includes cultivating student's ability about dependent study, giving students time to question and reflect, and training student's thinking methods to ask questions such as abstract thinking, association thinking, reverse thinking, supposition, changing attributes, and so on.From the Teacher's point of view,we propose the following strategies as elaborating respectively from improving teacher's professional knowledge literacy, teaching art, humanistic quality and innovative awareness. In the following part, the paper uses the research method by examples, which demonstrates in the introduction, the examples, the exercises, the new question process, and then shows two complete practical examples explaining how to cultivate students' problem-proposing ability in the whole teaching process. Finally we summarize the deficiencies in the paper, and put forward on the future work.
