In recent years,with the continuous improvement of China's international status,the demand of international community for Chinese language teaching has been increasing.Therefore,China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a foreign Language(NOCFL)actively strengthens the international promotion of Chinese language and provides opportunities and resources of Chinese learning for the countries which is learning Chinese all over the world.Since the current number of international Chinese teachers cannot meet the job requirements,in 2004,with the approval of the Ministry of Education,the "International Chinese Language Teacher Volunteer Program" was officially launched.Thailand has become the country that receives the most Chinese volunteers teachers at present.There is no doubt that Chinese volunteers teacher are a force that cannot be ignored of Thai Chinese teaching.The teaching adaptation of Chinese volunteer teachers is directly related to the teaching quality during their ternure.Hence it is of great practical value to study their teaching adaptability and put forward suggestions for improvement.The author worked as a Chinese volunteer teacher volunteer in Northeastern Thailand since June 2018 to March 2020,accumulated some research resources and conditions.In this paper,82 volunteers who taught Chinesein in primary and secondary schools of 12 provinces in Northeastern Thailand since June 2019 to March 2020,were randomly selected for the questionnaire and in-depth interviews.Meanwhile,with software of SPSS 26.0 was used for statistics and analysis of the questionnaire data.This thesis also explores the teaching adaptability of Chinese volunteer teachers who worked in primary and secondary schools in northeastern Thailand.With datdas about the volunteers' personal information and the basic situation of the school they worked for,the author investigated the volunteers' teaching adaptability in detail from the aspects of teaching arrangements,classroom teaching,classroom management,students' response and independent teaching to summarize the difficulties they encountered in teaching.At the same time,combined with the comprehensively consideration of the psychological adaptation and life adaptation factors,and the impact of the support of related institutions on volunteers' teaching with the cause of teaching difficulties,the author propounded some targeted advice.The research shows that the Chinese volunteer teachers,working in primary and secondary schools in Northeastern Thailand,have generally been able to adapt to their teaching,but there still exists some problems that cannot be ignored..At the same time,the data shows that the situtation of the volunteers' psychological adaptation and life adaptation are good;but the support of relevant organizations such as NOCFL is not good enough to provide volunteers with sufficient teaching resources and help.In view of the above situation,the thesis analyzes the reasons for the difficulty of Chinese volunteer teachers' in teaching adaptability in primary and secondary schools in the northeast of Thailand from the objective and subjective aspects.It also puts forward the following targeted suggestions: 1.It is recommended that the teaching school develop and improve the Chinese syllabus and cultivate local Chinese teachers;determine fixed Chinese teaching methods,provide volunteers with teaching materials and other teaching resources;and moderately examine listening,speaking and reading abilities in the Chinese test.2.It is recommended that the sending unit really care about the volunteers' work and understand the living conditions,and provide volunteers with some teaching resources they need..3,Third,it is recommended that NOCFL strengthen the pertinence of volunteer selection and pre-job training,improve volunteers' ability to speak and listen in Thai and ability to classroom management;enhance volunteers' pre-job communication and on-the-job contact,and provide opportunities for management teachers and volunteers to communicate more.4.Before going abroad,it is recommended that volunteers lower their psychological expectations and make fully preparations of material and psychological;also enhance their professional knowledge and skills,enrich the teaching content and teaching methods;at the same time,improve their ability to intercultural communication;learn spontaneously Thai;correct teaching attitude,insist on making teaching reflection and teaching summary.
