Yu Ziyi(1886-1970),a modern Chinese educator,mainly engaged in the experiment and research of primary education,paying special attention to the teaching art.His teaching art has experienced three major stages:teaching art exploration,teaching art improvement and teaching art maturity.At each stage,his views on the art of teaching are constantly developing and progressing.Looking at it vertically,he has formed a unique concept of teaching art inspired by the reflection of traditional education and the modern Western educational philosophy.Yu Ziyi's so-called concept of teaching art refers to the technology of teaching through the introduction,communication and guidance of students under the guidance of scientific theories.Its teaching techniques mainly include the following aspects:First,it advocates the promotion of the interest of students.This requires teachers to use the game as a tool to take the student's life as a starting point and correctly handle the relationship between interest and effort.Second,focus on the interaction between teachers and students.The use of the problem law in the classroom,the teacher's words and deeds,and the emotional communication between teachers and students will affect the interaction between teachers and students.Finally,the flexible use of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude requires teachers to diagnose and treat students,observe their personality,distinguish their knowledge,and pay attention to their growth stages.Taking the storytelling as an example,it can be found that Yu Ziyi requires teachers to correctly handle the relationship between the whole and the part and to master flexible and diverse expressions.Yu Ziyi's concept of teaching art embodies the following characteristics:science-based,student-centered,and teacher-oriented field verification.These aspects,combined with specific subject teaching,show the uniqueness and creativity to a certain extent.However,the concept of teaching art still stays at the level of "Alchemy".Without the sublimation of theory,it has not risen to a higher level.Its advanced nature is relative to the era of Yu Ziyi's life.Due to many limitations in warfare and its realistic conditions,its teaching art has not been promoted and implemented.Yu Ziyi's view of teaching art,especially his dialectical unity of scientific and artistic dialects,has implications for the strengthening of teacher education and the promotion of the construction of teaching law.
