It is well-known that population migration is a major cause of regional population change.Quantitative analysis of human migration is becoming an important subject of physics, which also is matters vital to national well-being and can be used as a reference for the location selection of public facilities, the distribution of trans-portation network, and so on.This thesis focuses on the distribution of the regional population and economic development degree by means of dynamic modeling and Monte Carlo simulation based on the analogy between electron transferring on an atom lattice and human migrating in different regions. These investigations are try-ing to describe and understand the complexity of the social system and the intrinsic mechanisms that dominating the population migration behavior. The main contents are as follows:A statistical analysis on the population and Gross Domestic Product(GDP)of 170 cities in the United States from 2012 to 2017 is conducted. The result indicates that distribution of the populations obeys the Gaus-sian distribution and that of the GDP is governed by an exponential distribution.By comparing with the popula-tion and GDP distributions for 150 cities in China from 1990 to 2013,it is found that there are great differences in population distribution under different economic development levels. In order to reveal the mechanism that creates the aforementioned distributions, forecast the trends of demographic and economic,a dynamic model is proposed based on the fact that migration is facilitated by higher financial gains and abated by the migratory psychological distance. The calculated results indicate that the distribution of the populations changes from an random distribution to an exponential one through a Gaussian-Like distribution and that the distribution of GDPs is governed by an exponential one.Additionally, the process of human migration is depicted by a net-work formed by active nodes, representing the immigration and emigration regions. On this foundation, the mechanism on temporal and spatial migration of human is quantitatively revealed by the degree distribution of the network and information entropy of population structure. The behavior of population migration has strong randomness and multiple influencing factors. Therefore, the population migration is mimic by electron transition between atoms with different energy via using the Monte Carlo simulation method. This simulation is based on the classical atomic structure one can make an analogy between he extranuclear electrons of an atom and the persons in a region, and between the number of nuclear charges and the regional comprehensive resources,as well as the absolute value of total atomic energy is regarded as the degree of regional economic development.Under the constraint of the total energy of the system, the distribution of regional population and economic development degree are analyzed as the system evolves to be a stable one.The results can help us to deeply understand the behavior of the population migration.
