There is a widespread phenomenon of "underachiever" in school teaching.The underachievers' poor academic performance is not only contrary to the educational idea of improving students' quality,but also has a very negative impact on students' physical and mental development,it's not good for students' need for further education.Although underachievers are a small part of a class,they are a group phenomenon when viewed in basic education.Today,with the information explosion,students are faced with more and more complex environments,the causes of biology underachievers in senior high school are complex and individual differences,so it is a long way to analyze the causes of the underachievers in senior high school biology and study the effective transformation strategies.Under the background of the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination,this paper aims to select the research objects from the students who will take the first "3+1+2" college entrance examination in the J Middle School of Wuhan,focusing on the seven indicators of students' biology academic self-cognition,learning interest and motivation,learning methods and attitudes,attribution of learning results,teacher-student relationship,family factors and other factors,through the methods of sending out questionnaire survey,interviewing teachers,observing classroom and student case,this paper investigates the status quo of the influence of these factors on the biology underachievers and the students with high scores in senior high school,and analyzes the reasons for the formation of biology underachievers in senior high school by comparing the differences between the two groups.Finally,try to discuss from the teacher,family,school,social level what countermeasures should be taken to promote the transformation of backward students.And it turns out,the difference in academic quality between the biology underachievers and the gifted students is due to the differences in students' self-cognition,knowledge base,learning interest,method habit and attribution of learning success or failure,teacher-student relationship,family environment and life habit,rather than defects.The differences in learning strategies and biological academic self-awareness are particularly significant.The transformation of the backward students in biology needs the careful cultivation of teachers,the support of families,the guarantee of schools and the good environment from the society.
