Research On The Role Of College Teachers In Faculty Employment And Appointment System

Society is the stage,and the individuals in it play various roles.Under different historical backgrounds,individuals will reflect different roles even if they are engaged in the same occupation.University teachers are the core of university development.In a changing society,sorting out the historical changes in the role of college teachers has an important role in fully understanding the role positioning of contemporary college teachers and improving teacher work.Looking back at history,college teachers play a complex and compound role.At the same time,China is advocating "Dual First-class"work.The faculty employment and appointment system in university has made a detailed description and explanation of the actual work of college teacher groups,so taking the teacher appointment system as the text,sorting out the role of today's college teachers and comparing it with the role of college teachers in history is of great significance for the role of college teachers in reality and the development of college teachers in the future.With the development and change of the times,colleges and universities are also making corresponding adjustments to better suit the social development.The "985","211 Project" and the current "Double First-class" construction are exactly what our colleges and universities made under the guidance of the country to adapt to social development.During the development process,the text of the faculty employment and appointment system in university,which is the carrier of teachers' work,has been revised several times.This coincides with the construction and development of "Double First-class" colleges and universities,and the employment and appointment system of teachers in each college has also undergone revisions and additions to varying degrees.The role of college teachers guided by the text of this appointment system has also changed accordingly.Therefore,exploring the role of teachers in the teacher appointment system has become the core of this research.The research adopts a literature research method to examine the role of Chinese and Western college teachers in history.Based on the historical role of college and university teachers,the case study method and comparative research method are used to extract the current teacher employment system of 3 universities for text analysis.In comparison and research,the guidance direction of college teacher employment system to the role of college teachers can be obtained.Based on this,the role of college teachers in the text of the appointment system is described.The research attributed the role of Chinese and Western college teachers in history to"scholar-bureaucrat" and "intellectuals." Although the two descriptions are different,they both radiate society from the three dimensions of cultural care,knowledge care,and social care,and make important contributions to social development.The text of the current appointment system also has four basic characteristics:the internationalization of the teaching staff,the emphasis on scientific research,the emphasis on teaching awards,and the lack of encouragement for social services.After comparing the role of college teachers in history with the text of the current teacher appointment system in three dimensions of knowledge care,cultural care,and social care,it is found that,unlike the roles of Chinese and Western college teachers described in history,university teachers have become scholars in the field of knowledge,marginalized people in the cultural field,and volunteers in the social field.Of course,this change cannot be judged arbitrarily with good or bad,nor can it be narrowed.The change of the role of the teacher is,in the final analysis,consistent with the development of history and the times.At the same time,researching on the text of the faculty employment and appointment system in university as a carrier also destined to construct a change in the role of college teachers implies that college teachers all follow the teacher appointment system and their promotion procedures,and there are rebels in the real life.But this sorting is of great significance to deepen the understanding of the role of teachers in colleges and universities.
