This paper is based on the unified edition of textbooks and the teaching of object of “masterpiece guides” in junior high school is the research object.By means of questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students,it was understood that there was the current teaching situation of “masterpiece guides” in junior high schools of Kaifeng,Xinxiang and Nanyang,the following problems are found.Teachers lack corresponding teaching research and training,weaken reading guidance;students' slack reading attitude and improper reading methods etc.The causes of these problems are complex.First of all,some teachers are restricted by the examination,and they don't pay enough attention to the teaching of “masterpiece guides ”;Secondly,the heavy schoolwork reduces the students' enthusiasm of reading;Finally,the social fast-food culture and the electronic reading mode can easily cause students to read impetuous psychology when students read famous works.Based on the collected cases and teaching practice,this paper puts forward some improved strategies for the above problems: First,teachers should develop the diversity of classroom activities,pay attention to the comprehensiveness of evaluation content and the diversity of evaluation methods.Second,students should know the famous works correctly,refuse vulgar reading,and make a reasonable reading plan according to the length of famous works and daily learning tasks.Third,the school should integrate the resources in the school,plan the time arrangement of the reading class,pay attention to the training of teachers,and carry out the research activities of “guided reading of famous works” on a regular basis.
