With the development of science and technology,the habits of public reading has changed in the new media environment,and the rumor has gradually evolved into a new form that is the image of rumor.As a new form of the rumor,image rumor in the form of pictures,motion graphs,videos and texts.Compared with traditional rumor,image rumor has its own characters that are high concealment,rapid and wide spreading.Unfortunately,it will have some negative impacts that are economic losses,social disorder and social panic.Social media platforms possess the characteristic of the grass roots and weak control force and strong freedom of expression.Image rumor always appearing on social media so it has some characteristics that satisfying public cognitive and confusing the public that could spread rapidly.After image rumor rapidly development,has gradually formed a certain scale under the environment that lacking of accurate and comprehensive and official authoritative information.Image rumor could lead to relevant public opinion and that would communicate to develop and grow,and the public opinion is easily influenced by fabricators.It is particularly important that studying on new media's image rumor and coming up with strategies about relevant public opinion guidance in order to clean up rumors and avoid bad social conducts and purify public opinion in website environments.The paper is studied in the background of the age of social media,it firstly discusses related concepts and the present situation in spread of image rumor and then studies the diffusion process and strategies about relevant public opinion guidance.Based on this,research contents of the thesis concludes five parts.Introduction at the first part,combing concepts of this article's research issue that are image rumor and public opinion guidance,explaining the current domestic and foreign academic situation about image rumor and relevant public opinion guidance,summarizing this issue meaning and research methods of this paper,and describing five theories of this essay such as the theory of agenda-setting,social cascades,group polarization,secondary public opinion and network self-cleaning mechanism,and those could become the basic of the theory study of this article.The second part is to chose some event texts of image rumor at random by using text analysis method,and generalizing type and characteristics of image rumor of new media.The third part is to analyze the basic situation and transmission mechanisms and cause of image rumor of new media.The fourth part is generalizing the process of image rumor,and describing the evolution and characteristics of relevant public opinion.The fifth part is aimed at analyzing some problems about relevant public opinion to put forward some solutions for public opinion that include problems and significance and policies of those public opinion.
