Since the 1990s,the rapid popularization and wide application of the Internet have greatly changed people's life style. The emergence of new economic forms and employment forms, the deep integration of the concept of shared economy and traditional industries have increased workers' employment opportunities. It can be said that the development of Internet application technology is a cross-era technological progress. From the current scale of Chinese netizens and the application of various Internet platforms, people have begun to rely on the use of the Internet to achieve their own needs, such as the popularity of online shopping, online booking and payment applications, reducing the cost of shopping out.The promotion of the resume delivery platform has broadened the new ways of job hunting for job seekers and reduced the cost of information search.Based on this background, this paper takes women's employment choice as a starting point, and studies the impact of the use of the Internet on women's employment choice,in order to provide some guidance for making better employment choices.By sorting out the relevant research literature at home and abroad,we know that women's employment choice will be affected by many factors, such as personal characteristics, family characteristics, and social economic conditions. On this basis, the use of the Internet has a certain impact on women's employment choice by affecting wage income and employment opportunities. Most of them have a certain impact on women's employment choice. Most studies believe that the use of the Internet has a positive effect on women's employment. Therefore, this study provides further evidence for the conclusions in this field, and has important guiding significance for helping women make scientific employment choice.Firstly, this paper combs the mechanism of Internet use on women,s employment theoretically, and elaborates in detail from human capital theory, job search theory and labor supply theory. It is believed that women can improve their human capital level and personal competitiveness through online learning and training, reduce the cost of searching information and processing information through rational use of the Internet, and improve the matching efficiency with employers, thereby improving the probability of non-self-employment employment.Women can use fragmented time efficiently to achieve flexible employment,or rely on the Intermet platform to achieve online entrepreneurship. In the following empirical research, based on the micro-survey data of CGSS 2010-2015,this paper uses probit model to empirically analyze the impact and mechanism of women's Internet use on their employment choices, and further analyze the heterogeneity of Internet use on women with different characteristics. Then the robustness test was carried out by replacing the key explanatory variables. The study found that, firstly,Internet use increases the overall employment probability of women by 7.7%,and increases the probability of self-employment and non-self-employment by 2.5%and 7.7%,respectively.Secondly,with the Internet as the information channel, the use of the Internet has increased the probability of women's self-employment by 4.1%,and the use of the Internet has increased the probability of women's non-self-employment by 6.6%.Thirdly,the influence of different Internet use and activity preferences on women's employment choice is heterogeneous.Leisure socialization helps women's self-employment,leisure learning helps women's non-self-employment,and leisure entertainment has adverse effects on women's self-employment and non-self-employment.Fourthly,the sub-sample study shows that the promotion of Intermet use on rural women's employment is more obvious. The use of Internet significantly increases the probability of self-employment of women under 40 years old,and significantly increases the probability of non-self-employment of women over 40 years old.Married women are more likely to use the Internet for self-employment and unmarried women are more likely to use the Internet for non-self-employment.Finally,according to the main conclusions of this study, some policy recommendations are put forward in order that the Internet can develop more scientifically and the use of the Internet can play a more active role in the process of women's employment. The possible innovations of this paper are as follows:First,on the basis of previous scholars' research, using the latest Chinese microdata to conduct empirical research at the individual level, expanding the sample data volume, making the results more representative, and providing more empirical data for the use of the Internet to promote employment;Second, this paper conducted a number of sub-sample studies, providing a new possible path for the use of the Internet to promote women's employment. The shortcomings of this paper lie in the methods used in the process of data and sample processing may be insufficient, and the consideration is not comprehensive enough. The discussion of women's employment choice is limited to the level of self-employment and non-self-employment,and there is no more in-depth discussion.
