Mind map,invented by British educationalist Tony Bozan in 1970,is a non-linear visual thinking tool.It uses color,text,lines,images and other methods to process the objects of people's thinking.It visualizes the attributes of objects and the relationship between objects.It stimulates and organizes the thinking process,and improves learning efficiency.In recent years,mind map has been widely used in work meetings,families,education and teaching.Elementary school students mainly focus on concrete image thinking,relying on concrete things for imagination and apparent thinking,and literacy is the foundation of reading and writing,occupying an important chapter of the entire primary school learning task.Introducing mind maps into literacy teaching,with the aid of the graphical thinking tools of divergent thinking,provides teachers with a new way in the field of literacy teaching and provides students with new ideas when they recognize new characters.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which summarizes the background,theoretical basis,research methods and value of the research,as well as the current status of mind map and literacy teaching research in domestic and foreign areas.In the second part,through the comparative study of common literacy teaching methods and literacy teaching based on the mind map concept,the superiority of literacy teaching is obtained,which provides a basis for the promotion and use of mind map.The third part uses questionnaire survey to understand the combination of mind map and literacy teaching,and analyzes the existing problems and causes.The fourth part lists the specific fields and practical cases of mind map applied to literacy teaching.According to the problems in literacy teaching,it puts forward corresponding implementation suggestions so that the concept of mind map can be more effectively integrated into elementary literacy teaching,which enhances fun and efficiency of literacy teaching.
