This paper takes Maoping Village,Dulong Town,Maguan County,Yunnan Province as the field point, and takes Guomen Market on the Sino-Vietnamese border as the research object, discusses Guomen Market, which is spontaneously developed by local villagers,in the case of the construction and further planning of the port here, how Guomen Market is incorporated into the national management system step by step in the process after the official opening. This paper first gives a brief introduction to Maoping Village and Guomen Market, and analyses the position of Guomen Market in the regional market system, which also determines the important role that Guomen Market plays in the regional society. The number of stalls, the flow of people, and the variety of goods and services on Guomen Market have greatly been affected by the process of nationwide construction of ports and a series of standardized management after the opening of ports. The location and spatial extent of Guomen Market was directly affected during the construction of the Dulong Port. After the opening of the port, the import and export must strictly abide by the regulations. The thatch, cattle and horses, and food businesses that once caused the rise of Guomen Market are now banned. The border police regularly and irregular border patrols, and the Saturday's stricter guards in many roads which connected China and Vietnam, all have made the commodity trading on Guomen Market carry out under the management of national regulations.Since the opening of the port,Vietnamese people must follow the strict entry procedures after the opening of the port to come to Guomen Market, which makes many The Vietnamese gave up.In the process of port construction and management, the relevant departments of the port employed many Maoping villagers as staff members. They acted as “brokers” and represented both national and local interests. The state used “brokers” to ease the tension between country and localities and safeguarded local interests at the same time. This paper argues that, before the further port planning of the country, the boundary of the daily practice of the border people does not coincide with the actual geographical boundary. The geographical boundary at this time has much more symbolic meaning in the daily life of the border people. When the port is open, the previous symbolic boundaries and the borders of people's daily practice have reached unity in the port area. For the border people, the state power is a kind of existence from the implicit symbol to the explicit reality. The people who are the main body of the area, their boundary-related daily practice will gradually change from explicit behaviour to implicit behaviour. The state power, which runs space, goods and personnel affairs of Guomen Market through the relevant departments of the port, has caused Guomen Street gradually transform from a spontaneously formed local market to a border market with government supervision and standardized operations.
